Whats wrong with Theo? not happy with Welbeck on the wings.
I doubt there is anything wrong with Theo. It makes no sense since Wellbeck cannot score a goal to save his life, I think that it leaves the team unbalanced and forces Alexis to do to much.
Yeah I think this Welbeck providing balance thing is overrated.
Theo been back for some time now, should have be integrated fulltime back into the team by now. Theo scores goals! Goals win games!

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
Well Welbz was MOTM for me last game against Palace, directly involved 2 goals so not that simple to drop him. Monaco also park spaceship so Theo might have be less effective

Why take off Giroid and keep welbeck on who was the most likely to score. Why start with welbeck and not Walcott in the first place.

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
unfit OX giving the ball was TWICE!!!!! in the lest 4mins , losing 3-1 to a completely average team, school boys mistakes at any level. embarrassing, manaco havent had to do ANYTHING this game, missing chances after chances/ making simple mistakes at the back = loss, against ANYSIDE.
there are players there that are not good enough for the highest level. giroud, merte, coq(improved our dm situation but he should be a squaddy not a starter) and...
....OZIL, fk me 42mill!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? this guy is a 15mill player, has good technique but thats about it, his final pass is PATHETIC, ooohhhh how i miss cesc, BLEEP ME.

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
We've been in good form otherwise, it's a horrible result and may mean the end of our CL run, effectively. And that's crap. But it doesn't mean our next matches will be as bad. There's hope still.
But it was definitely a piss-poor performance.
Looked as though a lot of the team had never played together before (?!), and then got undisciplined trying to get forward, so we got punished on the counter.
Giroud has been terrific lately, but he was awful today. Ditto Özil. So many ineffective players. And Monaco capitalized on it. They just looked "on" today whereas our guys looked completely off.
All you can do is hope the fellas bring some extra heat to the second leg.
Side note: I can't stand Erik Wynalda, but here on Fox Sports as a pundit he funnily broke his long, implicit anti-Arsenal streak and praised this team for its balance. Afterwards, he just told the other pundits in the post-match discussion: "You guys are forgetting one thing: Monaco's good."

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
Monaco are a pain in the arse to play... they really are. I live close and have been to 6 games live. Let me tell you: I got bored in all of them
Jardim is a fantastic coach. Very young team, completely demoralized due to summer transfers, awful start... and then wins CL group and has most points in Ligue since Nov 1 (better than PSG, Lyon and OM).
They have a formula and every player gives 100% into it.
Remember that Toulalan, Carvalho and Raggi were injured plus Kurzawa and Carrasco didn't start due to knocks. This was Monaco's B team.

It was a bad match for him no doubt, but come on. Have a beverage, get some sleep tonight, you'll see more clearly in the morning.

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
if monaco dont get blitz and concede (like we should have done in the first few minutes) and monaco are allowed to settle, they can defend against any side with that midfield. bleep me, kondogbia is insane, they literally have all the world class defensive midfielders in europe when you think about it nobody else in Europe has that caliber of a dm line up.

Re: Arsenal Vs Monaco
Toulalan-Kondogbia are pretty tough (toulalan didn't even play tonight lol)... that's true. But come on REWB. The best in Europe??? no. They're just experts at catenaccio.
Unless you can play wide effectively, Monaco will eat you. No idea why Arsenal were trying to attack the middle all the time.
