CL R16: Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund
Easily the most mouth-watering tie of the last 16.

Different type of match. Clash of styles.
Looking forward to this one as well. Hope Dortmund's injuries are a bit better. Allegri is great in Europe and Dortmund are struggling a bit but they are a different team in CL.
Hard to call

When did this myth start lol? He got to the quarter finals once lol, aside from that it's been constant early round disappointment.

Re: CL Round 16: Dortmund x Juventus
Anyway, I see Dortmund being slight favourites. But it also depends on how Dortmund are going round about the time of the tie. If their current form in Bundesliga continues it will certainly have an effect on their mental, so that's where Juventus can benefit most. If they are in better form by then, then Juventus might find it much tougher.
If Juve can take a lead into the 2nd leg then I can see them holding out Dortmund. Juventus aren't that bad on the counter and they can manage games quite well when in the lead. The problem will be breaking down Dortmund's defense in order to get that first leg win.

Re: CL Round 16: Dortmund x Juventus
It probably comes from the countless games against Barcelona . Having said that , Allegri is not bad when it comes to european games , though. Certainly not bad.
That Milan didn't have the resources to go on further in his time , is another matter. I would say , except his first season at Milan where he totally messed up so many things altogether against both games Tottenham , next seasons he even surpassed expectations in certain cases. Things go unnoticed however when you destroy Arsenal 4-0 at home and go in England to qualify almost by luck . Yeah and that was his best season into the CL
Last season , he qualified to the 16 with the worst Milan of countless years whereas Juventus with the best team in Serie A and their fabulous coach went to the EL instead . I could say many things , but there's no need. He's matured enough to lead Juventus in the CL . The fact that they survived the group stage speaks volumes
So all in all , certainly above your average CL coach . With this Juventus , you never know . They might gtfo against Dortmund or even go as far as the semi-finals. Except Real and Bayern , 2 teams they cannot possibly eliminate imho , they can look anybody else in the eyes , especially Allegri , when he did that with a very limited Milan in his last 2 years , where he improved significantly when it comes to the CL .

Fully expect Juve to progress. Dortmund are always tough, but I think this Juve side have enough quality to get pass them.

Yes but he bested Barcelona once out of 8 times!
Though Juve will easily progress because of Klopp's disappointing season. I wouldn't say it would be a mouth-watering fixture, given that Allegri employs such a boring and conservative style in Europe, and that Dortmund will be at the back pedal most of the time due to Juve being a superior team (Taken into account that Dortmund's injured players won't play).

Dortmund to advance. Nothing can stop their CL winning/relegation season. It's written in the stars

Juve have shown nothing to prove they can be a force in Europe and still struggle to score

Dortmund are favourites IMO. Juve won't be able to handle their high pressing game.
Reus should be back by then and Kagawa/Gundogan should be hitting their peak physical fitness.

BVB are schwatzgelb (black-yellow).
And I'm not a Dortmund fan, but I think it will be an interesting match which really can't be predicted. Fortunately I don't bet

Re: CL Round 16: Dortmund x Juventus
I can see dortmund as slight favourites here we just don't have enough trickery, width and pace to win ON PAPER. I am hoping we do an " atletico madrid " champions league job and rely on hard pressing and being " accountable " and working for your'e team mates to win this match over talent. I think that is the only way we can win other then outplay them it might not be pretty but a win is a win.
