Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
I would not go all out attack, Harry Kane on present form will rip you a part.
Get someone to mark him out of the game and then stop Eriksen and they are useless.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Not worried about that scrub Harry Kane imo.

4 goals against Chelsea and Arsenal? You should be. He is very clinical at the moment, you give him any good chance and he'll put it away.

Can will be as good you watch guys, as long as rodgers play him there, but then that leaves us exposed at the back.

Would be a blunder to not consider Kane and Eriksen a threat. But you guys are playing at home, so make it count ffs.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
I'd do the same as PoolSoup and put Can in the midfield. Gerrard surely cannot start his 3rd game in a week and Allen's confidence looks to be at an all-time low and he is playing with even less decisiveness than before.
We have more cover for CB, especially in a three-CB system (when even Johnson can play there), than in midfield, so start Can in midfield and I think we'll be good.
What could cause us problems is if Tottenham's wingers (Chadli, Lamela, Townsend) get in behind our wing-backs and then have space to play it to the middle to Eriksen and Kane, that could hurt us. But I don't see Tottenham having more possession than us at Anfield and controlling the game - unless we pick the wrong line-up or Pochettino has some major tactical keys to unlock the 3-4-3.

Apparently the Echo has reported that Can will stay in defense and Allen starts. Well, I'm still hopeful it'll be enough to control the game, although it's not what I would have done.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Allen in midfield + existing 3 man defense >>>> Johnson in defense and Can in midfield.
It is really easy to see that Johnson can not do what Can does, specially covering for wing backs when here is space behind Ibe/Markovic, I just dont trust him for making the right decisions about when to cover and when to remain compact. I am telling you guys, if that happens I can already see big gap created on the right side of our defense and Kane shooting ample from that side.

Markovic or Moreno!!! I like to see Ibe & Markovic on either wings. Moreno has been average recently anyway.

BBC's Ben Smith saying that Sterling is out with a knock
If Sturridge is fit to start it's not that bad, but still a downer.

Re: Liverpool v Tottenham
Disappointing that we let them right back in the game. Sakho isn't having his best of games
What about Sturridge's cheeky back-heel effort at the end there... damn, why couldn't it go in!!
Gerrard getting bypassed in midfield when they have the ball way too easily, but no surprise there.
Need to step it up in attack and score a goal or two.
