Re: The Pogba War
it's the CL and international football success that could get you the BO .
he can do both in PSG .
people insist with PSG because it's his hometown club , that would also be able to outbid everyone and offer him the highest salary .

Your living in the world of 5 years+ ago brah, that's not enough anymore.
In this day and age Zidane wouldn't win Balon D'or because of how its voted on.

Re: The Pogba War
the Zlatan hype reached its zenith during his time in PSG .
that's when he started scoring regularly in the CL and with the NT .
that's when that whole "zlatanism" thing started ,and that's also when he reached a career high number 4 spot in the BO.
joining PSG won't exclude Pogba from the global limelight , it had the opposite effect on Ibra .

Re: The Pogba War
But,playing for Barca or Madrid increases your chances of winning the BO by an extra 20%,just saying..A midfielder winning the BO would be a rare achievement and he'd definitely have greater chances of doing that at the two Spanish giants.

He's still 22 tho, there's plenty of time for him to move to either Spanish clubs in the future

Re: The Pogba War
True but why not wait and it out and stay at Juventus in the meantime coz Barca or Madrid will eventually come calling,if not this yr then definitely next yr.He's not in a half bad situation at Juve is he ? 5m NET salary + bonuses which is essentially 10-11m gross salary. He's going to get paid well at Barca or Madrid either way.I mean Bale gets paid 15m for gods sake. He's also going to make a lot of money from sponsors.Money isnt an issue.Dont think he's even considering to move to PSG personally.

He says it because the award is now about stats, unless you score 50+ you don't have a hope in hell.

Ribery was third behind stat monsters Ronaldo and Messi in 2013.
these two are once in a lifetime type of players, i don't think we'll see high scoring of that caliber for a long time after they retire .

Re: The Pogba War
He's the perfect Yaya replacement but I really can't see him going there. He would be lethal for Barca. But he'll need to improve his overall game to do so. Much more a Madrid type ATM. He'd really do well to stay put for a season or two.

Pogba's hype for a 22 yr old is insane. That alone would put him in the reckoning for the award in the future.
This award is 60% hype and 40% performances.

Re: The Pogba War
it's only the case atm because there are two guys who can score that many in a season. But what happens when they are no longer capable of doing that? whoever is great at that point will define the new standard for the ballon dor

well, it's hard to play better than a player who scores 50+ goals a season. Besides that, I don't rate Pogba very high. He will compete with players like Neymar, Hazard or James. He's not even the best midfielder in his group of age

No he is not, not sure why people just associate all big black players.Muppet wrote:He's the perfect Yaya replacement but I really can't see him going there. He would be lethal for Barca. Yaya is actually a fantastic playmaker, if he learnt anything playing with Xavi, it's that. Pogba cant playmake for shet, he is a very different type of midfielder who beats line with his running and athleticism, as opposed to his passing

You couldn't be more wrong about both players or the intentions of my comparison. And Pogba's overall game is already better than Yaya's. This is a bizarre post.

Marotta wrote:“His position is different. Pogba has a multi-season contract, is growing year on year and we need quality players to improve the team.
“In this case, the desire of the club is predominant over that of the player. Our rapport is excellent, we don’t want to sell him, there are no negotiations and we have no intention of starting any.”

Re: The Pogba War
Patrice Evra told teammate Paul Pogba “it would be a good idea” to stay at Juventus.
The pair played for France in last night’s shock friendly defeat to Albania, but Pogba is constantly surrounded by transfer speculation.
“I’m here to advise him to make the best choice, but I told him that ultimately the decision is his,” Evra commented on Telefoot.
“People forget that Paul is young, and if he wants to go to a very big European club at age 22, why not? But if he wants to stay I think it would be a good idea.
“Besides, I do not think that Juventus want to let him go.”
Pogba has a contract with the Bianconeri until June 2019 and a price-tag of €100m.

Re: The Pogba War
How come nobody is taking these Pogba to Chelsea rumors any seriously? I believe this is going to get done. Mou is a huge fan of Pogba, I believe Chelsea will go full retard and make him the most expensive transfer in history.

Because Juve is not selling their best player and getting a potential replacement on the last week of the transfer window?

Pogba rumors aside, Juve have pretty much landed cuadrado.
I think it is pretty difficult to not find a replacement with over 100m Euros.

If they were going to sell him they would have done it when Barca offered like 100m
It's not happening, at least until after Euro 2016 and Chelsea won't get him either lol.

you can feel free to buy him on your FM for as much /or as low a deal you can get with Juve, but in real life tho it ain't happening. No matter how much you feel your personal dreams should be reality.
