Re: The Pogba War
let's not forget they got pirlo on a free, when milan thought he was done. with the resources they have, the fact they were playing serie b football about 6 years ago, and the present issues with the league, i'd say they've done very well for themselves

Re: The Pogba War
Pogba should just go to madrid already... wonder why the ceremony tbh..
pls don't judge me as i don't really mean to troll but I've watched pogba an average of say 30 times but what I'm wondering is why teams are struggling to pay record money or him? Are we watching the same player here? or are there some games he plays in secret? At least guys like Neymar and bale can sell themselves tbh..
in this stat dominated era Neymar has the goals to show for it (Neymar has three 40+ goal seasons at 24 already), the Brazilian cred, the golazos, has virtually won all there is to win in club football (for Barcelona and Santos), is already beginning to scratch 300 career goals at 24, is the ultimate YT player, and is a balon d'or nominee..
while bale was basically tearing it up in the PL, has British cred, is built like a tank, has some crazy long shot highlight reels, has some goals to show for it (already has two 20+ goal seasons) has won the CWC, CL, was EPL best player..
but Pogba? (yes, I know he isn't a striker) but that's exactly the point. strikers are more marketable due to the nature if their job yet he isn't as marketable as one, yet he's commanding world record fee based on what exactly? in fact Neymar and Bale have and will always have more media hype due to the nature of their jobs, so you can say that they're even more future proof.
in zidanes case at least he was already a world cup winner and balon d'or winner when he left for a world record fee. *scratching head*

Re: The Pogba War
"What we want is that he plays in a better league," he said, in quotes reported by AS. "He'll decide which team he's going to play for."
Pogba's dad apparently said this
Madrid interest seems to have cooled, we will pay the 150M total with agent fees and insane wages
he's coming home

Re: The Pogba War
AS twisting quotes again.
Besides his dad knows shit. A contract extension is more likely at this point.
Who even takes these EL clubs seriously ffs ?! Usual clickbait stuff so loads of ignorant naive fans would buy into it. Seen by the posts above
Pogba is an ambitious boy. Seen by the ambition to move to a better club in 2012. He wont go full 180 now taking a downgrade to a team full of mercenaries. I very well know this.
“What we want is for him to be in the best League. He is the one who chooses which club he wants to play for. That is the situation we are in right now.”
He was asked if Real Madrid made a serious approach to Pogba and his family.“Yes.”

Re: The Pogba War
“Lo que queremos es que juegue en una Liga mejor”.
That translates to: "What we want is that he play in a better league."
"mejor liga" = best league
"liga mejor" = better league
Anyhow, the bottom line is that it seems Pogba wants to go to a league that has more exposure so he has more exposure. That pretty much points to either EPL or La Liga.

Re: The Pogba War
Dude.
Man Utd/Real the 2 most serious teams for Pogba. Man Utd doesn't play CL this year, if he gets to join them then its next year. He's an ambitious boy.
Real decided to buy-back Morata. Oh well. I can't criticize Madrid on this one, but the fact is it was a slap to the face for Juve, and now we're supposed to sell them our best player ? Don't expect so.
Most likely than not, Pogba will stay for a last year, trying to win the Champions League in which we are very serious contenders, then will fly off.

Pogba made his twitter page super bland. Used to have some Juve colors. Not sure if he ever followed so I won't comment on whether he "unfollowed" Juve.

Re: The Pogba War
Guys, you really shouldn't read too much into what players do on social networks.
If I'm not mistaken, Messi at some point followed Chelsea and he's still with Barça last time I checked. It really doesn't mean anything.

Your fault thinking Arsenal would try to buy more than one 30m+ player a season imo.

Re: The Pogba War
Yep it means absolutely *bleep* all.
Like when people get excited when a player has dinner in Madrid meaning he's signing for Real Madrid.
I wasn't aware until then that a player could eat in a famous city tbh.

Maybe he's only into a "new twitter background, new me" phase...yet you have to admit its a pretty suspicious thing to do.
