I believe we will stick with 3421. However, I would like to see some change in personnel as this is probably the last fixture where some of the players can be afforded a rest.

I hope we don't change the CBs, they've got a good thing going and don't need as much rest as other players.

Balotelli should absolutely play and I'd start Lambert up top.

It will be nice to see Spearing back at Anfield. I'm very happy for him that he's got a good career going on now. Impressive that he's Bolton's captain. I'd imagine he's enjoying that more than being a fringe player at a PL club. Should get a great reception.

Also, if you told me a couple of years ago that Emile Heskey would still some day play at Anfield in a competitive match, I'd have laughed at your face. Now it's very very likely that we'll see the man who has 223 appearances and 60 goals for us in all competitions, still in 2015 play against us at Anfield. Fantastic stuff (as long as we win).

Ps. Bolton have just one loss in their last 12 games, so we need to play a good game.

Also, there's too little (non existence really) movement with Balotelli & Lambert. I would suggest Borini instead. And yes, Balotelli should play.

agreed with Ifty, if Balotelli is playing there, I would start Borini instead of Lambert and keep Lambert as a sub. I doubt Sterling will be rested for this game. For all you know we might see up front

I feel like he'll rotate some players. Lallana and Gerrard will each play half the game in the CAM role. Unfortunately Ibe is cup tied for this one also, but maybe Lovren, Allen and Balotelli will get a run out. I would say rest Sterling, Coutinho and Lucas as they'll be extremely important for the game at Stamford Bridge.

Ibe, Lallana, and Borini will definitely play I think. Same with Manquillo and Lovren. I don't know if Allen is still injured or what but this is probably the match for him to feature.

Ibe has played in the FA cup and COC with Derby so I don't think he can play in either of them.

Derby wasn't in semifinals of COC while they are in the fourth-round of FAC. So if Ibe is ineligible for COC, he will be more so for FAC.

Now we need to develop both, spent 20m on a player (which could of actually went to the first team but Lovren so this argument is defeated I guess) that is arguably inferior to our youth guy (Ibe). lol

Right now I'm with Mr420, Ibe should have stayed at Derby. It's the first half of the season when we had a lot of games with the CL group stage and the Xmas period and the odd cup game. Now Ibe cannot play in the remaining cup games, will fight for scrub minutes in the PL and maybe start against Besiktas. Would have been more beneficial overall if he just stayed at Derby and played a lot there. Unless he actually becomes a difference maker this season, then it was a good recall, but if he is good enough to play for us this season, why didn't we keep him in the first place?

No man, I have really good vibes about this game. However, I'm a bit apprehensive about what squad Rodgers might choose. I feel he might select all the regulars for this one too.
