Still so easy to play against us. 2 sides put 10 men behind the ball in the space of a week and suddenly it's obvious we're no better at breaking down meh teams on the road than we were last season. Expect it only to continue with sides having seen these last 2 tactical displays from Sunderland and Newcastle go so successfully.

Exactly. I would bet on City to win it now. It doesn't look like the trend is going to end. Expect Hull do the same after bending over for united a week ago

We should have lost at Sunderland too. Were very fortunate not to have done.

José Mourinho accuses ball boys of wasting time after Chelsea are beaten by Newcastle:
Jose Mourinho criticised Newcastle's ball boys and accused them of wasting time after Chelsea's 2-1 defeat at St James' Park on Saturday
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2863499/Jose-Mourinho-accuses-ball-boys-wasting-time-Chelsea-beaten-Newcastle.html

"No complaints. Unlucky. We had a lot of chances to score in the first half, we didn't. In the second half again we had chances, we didn't (score)."

"They defend and the first time they were there (in attack) they score a goal. After that, everybody (got) behind (the ball) against a team that tried everything and a team (in which) every player went to the last seconds."

"We wanted to play more football but it was not possible because a few things I thought didn't belong any more to top-level football but still belongs - the ball disappeared, the ball doesn't come, another ball comes, the ball boys run away - these kind of situations that unfortunately are still part of the game. But no complaints."

Must he always make a complete helmet out of himself with this ballboy nonsense?

Although, at least he didn't harangue them to their face like last season at Palace. #progress

Losing HURTS and our unbeaten run comes to an end. We will bounce back and remain together. A big thanks to all our fans who travelled to Newcastle today and left at 3am and 4am this morning. JT

I wonder what the outcome would be if Matic played.

I guess we're lucky because we can afford to drop points since we started off so well. And now that all that talk about the unbeaten run is done, the lads can now focus on their playing. They won't be asked about it every time that they go on an interview. I know that we can bounce back from this loss quickly.

José Mourinho accuses Newcastle of parking the COW in bizarre post-match ran:
José Mourinho has added a new footballing phrase to the lexicon of the game as he accused Newcastle of bringing a cow on to the pitch in order to stifle Chelsea's late comeback
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/544736/Jose-Mourinho-Chelsea-Newcastle-Cow-Interview

"No (he wouldn't have employed such tactics). With anything? You may as well put a cow in the middle of the pitch. And then stop the game because there was a cow."

"You cannot do just anything in football. You have to defend with your 10 men, put the 10 men on the goal line, park the bus, but football needs a ball. Not two or zero. Do what you can to win but not everything."

"Sometimes there were zero balls and that cuts the dynamic of the team who is trying to win the game."

Newcastle defeat has ‘no effect’ on Chelsea's Premier League title dream, says Mourinho:
Chelsea boss José Mourinho says his Chelsea side are in just as good a position now as they were a week ago relative to their objectives and that their first defeat at St. James' Park at the weekend will have no effect on them
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/545525/Chelsea-Newcastle-Jose-Mourinho-Premier-League-title-dream-football-news

"The defeat at Newcastle has no effect on us. I always said a defeat would arrive and not by complacency. I'm more than happy with my players and situation."

"I accept defeat is a normal situation in a championship like the Premier League."

"We don't need to change anything, we couldn't be in a better situation - top in the Premier League, top in the Champions League group and in the last eight of the Capital One Cup."

"The next game you want to win - it's tomorrow. We want a good result."
