ya Smalling handled Diouf all night
him and Rojo looked comfortable together, Smalling has been good ever since that shocking City match he had
now just get that beast Shaw back there and Rafael and we could start to see a consistent back 4

Thought Rojo was very good too. Made a fantastic last ditch clearance in the first half from a cross that was heading to Diouf. Vidic-esque.

Fantastic run by Wilson, showed how confident he is too by shooting rather than squaring it to RVP. But..
..I was peeved when he missed. Should have opted to square it a better placed RVP to make 3-1, game over. Could have cost us at the end.
Not just him though, RVP should have squared it to him earlier in the first half rather than take many touches before deciding to pass to Herrera.

ddg, mata, rojo, smalling, herrera stood out too.
herrera had a bad first half despite the assist. But he came roaring back in the 2nd half to register a near perfect performance.
rojo and smalling it looks like is the way forward. neat stuff.
mata was again beautiful.
and lastly god de gea.
Thought both Herrera and Mata were both poor today, just my opinion though

Yeah he should've passed, because if you don't you have to make damn well sure you put that in

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
yea overall herrera was only fairly good but his improvement over the half was pretty impressive. In normal circumstance a player would be going down the drains after sucha first half display, but he came back really well in the 2nd half. And he was our best midfielder in the 2nd half. wasnt he ? His tackling and off the ball movement were good. He indeed took the easy route when it came to passing (probably cos of the 1st half blemishes) but still he was more or less neat.
mataaa.. well, i dont know though. may be i need to watch the match again in that case.
fellaini was better of the 3 overall. isnt it ?

I thought Herrera's decision making poor in the first half and only about 60 mins in started to play better. Mata apart from the assist, didn't do anything imo

I thought Fellaini was your best player in the first half.
Herrera to me seems like he is having really great 15 minutes followed by pretty poor 15 minutes etc. during the games.

hmm.. but mata is at least not playing shit like he did in those 4 games when rooney was suspended. he is doing a decent job and he is even dropping back and trying to get more involved now than before. Probably lvg tweaked that aspect of his game. Its good to have him as a back up.

It's Herrera's third game (if you include reserves) in 7 days after being out for 2 months, it was too much too soon for him. I don't think he normally fades in and out of matches though.

That's the equivalent of Louis trademark move of subbing on Tymoschtchuk as a DM to defend a lead and then 10 minutes of panic and fear ensue.

Re: Manchester United 2014/2015 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
Massive game tonight. Feel it will be the same line up as the one that started against Hull. Having Rooney back will be a massive boost. We're on form atm, confidence is sky high, while the saints are ravished with many injuries to key players (Schneirderlin is out, Tadic is reported to be injured too), and morale is down due to back to back defeats. They will obvioulsy be compact, keep it tight (they've been defensively sound this season), but we bide our time, we have the fire power to hurt them and grab the win.
I'm pretty confident we'll get the win tonight.
Hate Monday night kick offs due to the long wait.

Sets up 3-5-2, so we can counter-attack, uses a slow front trio of Mata-RvP-Rooney *sigh* Let's hope we win today
