Seriously though, still relatively being in such a good position for top 4 after this worst start to the season (worse than Woy's tenure) is unbelievable. Our rivals being shit have helped us greatly in this regard. Sturridge and Sakho will be back as well after the break. Both MUST walk into the team.

This is our schedule for the next SIX games (MUST WIN ALL OF THEM SERIOUSLY FFS):

Palace (A)
Ludogorets (A)
Stoke (H)
Leicester (A)
Sunderland (H)
Basel (H)

Every single one of them is winnable. If we win them, then our season is salvaged and crisis mode is over. If we don't, this season has been a disaster and every single person at the club will deserve whatever they get.

I just hope Rodgers doesn't purposely handicap us like he's got a knack of doing and plays the best team on merit and not based on favoritism.

Well with hopefully Sturridge back we can assume we would be able to score goals. But defending them is a whole different ball game. So with only one single player capable of scoring goals and not a single defender able to prevent defensive errors I can't see all six of them being winnable.

Just think of it this way, Newcastle are on a 5 game winning streak at the moment after not winning a single game all season. Anything is possible.

Well, this particular six games stint makes sense as it finishes off with the game that will potentially decide whether we progress in the CL or not, so, a rather significant milestone. We obviously must beat Ludogorets away first...

In our current form I'm not looking at any of those games with too much confidence. However, win against Palace and then against Ludo and maybe, just maybe we'll go on a roll.

I say Basel not because of home or away but because of style. I think Ludogorec look more vulnerable than Basel. Basel have proven to be hard to take down whereas Ludogorec, who I won't say they're complete slouches either, seem to be penetrable at least. Liverpool Defense should be enough to contain Ludo methinks. Marco Streller seems a little scarier. That's my 2 cents, at least.

Looking back at that Basel match, they really weren't that great at all. We squandered two unbelievably easy chances (one Markovic and one Sterling) and we were playing absolutely awful. And the match was away. Really outside of that set piece goal they didn't trouble our woeful defense.

I really think if we beat Ludo, the last match at Anfield being a must win against Basel is gonna wake the beast in us. Like Art said, I'm more worried about Ludo in Bulgaria.

Personally I see the Ludo game the more difficult one. Win that and we are surely going to take care of the business at Anfield vs Basel. The spirit of Shankly will score if no one else will. But before that we must beat Ludogorets away from home.

At least I already know whom to blame if we dont go through
