Never seen a striker getting away with so many missed chances. Maybe he should play the behind the striker role because he plays well during link up but he has no poacher DNA nor a good shot on goal.

The fact is there is ZERO accountability when it pertains to him on this forum from his fans. That is a FACT.

Never understood the "Muh Benzema Linkup play tho" argument. That excuse can work in Madrid with Ronaldo taking the score upon himself but not for the NT.

Perfect analogy is like saying Neuer has Great Sweeper play but letting in 2 goals a game. His main job isn't sweeper play or Link up in the case of Benzema its to put the ball in the back of the net.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

i've come to the conclusion that lack of patience (for success and failure) is a recurring theme on this forum and football at large. fans get caught up in their emotions on players and when the player performs there is a mute response, then one bad game and the "i told you so" kings come out sparring. its one thing to critique benzema's brazil game, its quite another to play the "i told you so" card based on one game, on a player who has shut his critiques (myself included) up with stellar performances in the last two years, including the world cup. at least wait till the season ends before crucifying him.

its the same with the benzema suarez debates, you can't wait for every good or bad game to say "i told you so", wait till the season ends, and if that's too long, wait till at least there's a run of good or bad performances. to come out after the odd bad game, especially in a meaningless friendly reeks of desperation.

and the same goes for success, i remember when we were winning at the start of the season and everyone and their dog said this was the best madrid side since di stefano.....really? we can't be the best based on "titles" like super cups or intercontinental cups...trophies and legacies are cemented in june, not december (another reason why handing out balon d'ors in january doesn't make sense to me, but that's another debate/ can of worms on its own)

benzema's playing well, a meaningless friendly for france should have no impact on what he does at madrid, and if this is a way of advocating for giroud, stop it, even arsenal fans know giroud can't lace his boots. i'll have to agree with the benzema 'fanboys/fangirls' on this one, any anti-benzema agenda based on this game is ridiculous
