Maybe you should look at it as a percentage of team goals in on when playing. I would especially like to see how that compares in 2011/12 and 2012/13 where Real Madrid scored 121 and 103 goals in league alone and Tottenham scored 66 and 66.

Not to mention you're comparing the strike rate of the striker for the most prolific team in the world vs. a winger (who also happens to play for that team, but not the entire time period).

Judging just from the past year and a bit (since Bale joined Real) saying Benzema has been better is not at all outrageous. Benzema's simply been more important to Real whereas Bale has struggled for consistency and, in this season in particular, has had times where he really hasn't justified his place in the XI.

Also get your facts straight I also said Toure was overrated, though he is a good player. Benzema is a world class player, and probably one of the top 5 strikers in the world. Almost any team would be lucky to have him and I would take him at Liverpool in a heartbeat. His form so far this season is really top notch.
