Only reason he's looking so great now is that Bale is injured and his touches have risen from 25 to 40+ a game and he's getting more opportunities in general.  Once Bale comes back, that will go down automatically... won't be his fault.  But he'll get blamed for having a "bad mentality"

obviously anybody with eyes knows bale bulked up to solo teams and pass to cr more, that was his whole game plan heading into this season, see what happens when you a hype a player too much , i won't say im glad he is hurt but thanks to that what i was saying at the start of the season came to pass again , chad is such a fanboy.... this forum

edit: sports i don't think benzema touches will drop too much or if at all, he is clearly a better footballer than bale the world is starting to see that too now, and the team as whole are looking for him on their own finally, his partnership with cr can't be overlooked either, its million times better than the media forced cr-bale nonsense, the more touches benzema gets the easier the attack flows, cause he is smartest in the trio/duo imo.

Sigh, those chances. RM really should have buried that Clasico. But Benzema has gotten better with regards to his finishing though I can't predict if we'll see another showing like that. Forwards tend to have those sort of games when you really can't afford for them to have it.

And Pippo is right on that one, Di Maria was giving Barcelona a lot of headache and was the definite threat to them.

Those are all difficult finishes bar the first miss. Benzema did especially well with making the run for bales pass and challenging for the header. The deflected shot that pique cleared was unlucky, there was nowhere else he could've put it.

Do you read properly? At any point in time? Those were good chances gone begging. You can clearly see it.
Does it make Benzema a bad player? No.
Is is he the first forward to not put away chances? No.
Is is he the last forward to not put away chances? No.
Has his finishing gotten better this season? Yes
Is he playing with way more confidence than prior seasons? Very much yes.
Does Doc consider him a very good forward? Damn it yes.
Did I even mention any other forward to make it seem Benzema was bad or inferior? I did not.
Did I make it seem like our other forwards don't have stinker of matches? No since I mentioned the word "forwards". Just in case you didn't understand, it encompasses every forward. Ever.

Every loss in the past 5 years is Benzema's fault.  It's a proven fact.  He should play like a legendary WC player every game and he should never miss a shot...  it's a disgrace to wear the number 9 as a Madrid player if you can't play like Pele in his prime every second you're out there.

I mean heck, he scored 2 goals in last March's classico... but if he had 100% effectiveness, he could have had 4.  Nevermind that we scored 3 goals and conceded 4 as Ramos got yet another red card for no reason.  Benzema should have been there to keep Ramos from getting the card.  And why wasn't he on the goal line saving those goals.  What a shat player!

He should be like Ronaldo who has been heroic in every big game since he's joined Madrid and especially the classicos.  Never, ever looked like anything else but Di Stefano in his glory days during those.

Bale was one of our worst players last year. ramos and pepe were messing up tons.
