+1. Good thinking guys, but it keeps distracting when I am trying to read a post. With especially long posts, it gets rather annoying. (I was reading the Burnley preview in the Arsenal section, got irritated, copied it into Notepad and then finished reading it!)

If you can access adblock as simply a drop down menu from your browser rather than by right clicking individual elements you can use the block an ad on this page function. That way it highlights the individual elements when you hover of them and it's easier to catch the ghost when it pops up on screen, both in terms of increasing the area you are aiming at and recognising that you've actually caught it.

It would probably be easy on a desktop with a mouse but my laptop touchpad makes fast movements about as willingly as Michael Essien.

spooked me out like hell last night when I was slightly intoxocated. Now I'm just irritated.

Not able to 'catch' it to adblock it either. Now scrolled through the blockable elements listed and found the "...ghost.png" one.
