Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
Yeah but this seems to have only surfaced today.
If there is a big enough outcry, it might.

I seem to recall Ivanovic being banned for something almost identical at the end of the 12-13 season, I believe.

If Mourinho is the Special One what is Wenger? A Special Zero

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
That too. You can hold 2 titles at once.
For instance, just as Mourinho is both the Special One and the Only One, so too is Wenger a Specialist in Failure and a Big Fat Zero

FA investigate Arsenal and Chelsea's kick-off delay due to a SMOKE BOMB at Stamford Bridge... and Gunners could be in trouble for Galatasaray fans setting off flares already!

No surprises here.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2782517/FA-investigate-Arsenal-Chelsea-s-kick-delay-SMOKE-BOMB-Stamford-Bridge.html
he FA have launched an investigation after the kick-off for Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Arsenal was delayed by 15 minutes on Sunday when a smoke bomb went off on a stadium concourse at Stamford Bridge.
Both clubs were contacted for their observations on Monday although Arsenal are more likely to be in trouble because the incident occurred at the away end of the ground.
Gates were temporarily closed to prevent more of their supporters entering the stadium and a match scheduled to start at 2.05pm did not kick off until 2.20pm.
Although it was initially reported that flares had been set off, it now appears to have been a smoke bomb.
Arsenal could be charged under rule E20 for ‘failing to control supporters’ but it is far from certain that they will face further action.
The Premier League have also been in touch with both clubs as part of their ongoing efforts to keep flares and smoke bombs out of football grounds.
The Gunners are already in hot water with UEFA after Galatasaray fans set off flares during last week’s Champions League tie at the Emirates.
No surprises here.

Only thing is, because it occured inside our stadium, our security may be partly liable.

Well, those smoke bombs should not have made it through the turnstiles.
They should not have been allowed in at all. One redeeming feature is they did not make it into the game.

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
It was the Arsenal fans committing the transgression. That they were successful in sneaking them past security doesn't make them any less culpable.

Having been to SB and OT, there's way more security at Australian games then there was at either ground, I don't remember seeing anyone's bag checked at either ground. Plus the huge crowds make it very easy to sneak in contraband

"Yes, a point was in it."
"It was down to us not to make defensive mistakes and use the dangerous situations we had and I think we were a bit short on both sides."
"We made a defensive mistake at the moment when we couldn’t afford to do it, and also when it was 1-0 and we were all over them I felt it was important not to concede a second goal."
"We did produce a good performance and both keepers had no saves to make."
"I felt the referee was very lenient with them. They broke up all of our counter-attacks without being punished."

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
Before he claims he should get a draw, perhaps he should work on his team hitting the target?
He's also lucky Kos stayed on the field.

Yea. 0 shots on target, deserved a draw.
Sounds legit.

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
Anyway Kos was the weakest case for a sending-off. Welbeck almost certainly should have seen a straight red and Calamity Chambers 150% should have been off.

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
I just mentioned one.
Kos should have been sent off, it was deliberate, in the box and stopping a clear goal scoring chance. Red card for me.

Idk. I could see it both ways tbh. I lean towards not but I can see the argument for as well.

Re: Premier League - Chelsea vs Arsenal
Regardless, the moral of this story is that in a game Arsenal should have seen 3 players sent off and their manager sent to the stands in, yet ended the game with 11 men on the pitch and the SIF still in the dugout, Big Bird has the temerity to say it was they who were hard-done-by in it.
