Its just one game, settle down
Lets see how it goes for weeks and months.
Also him working hard now doesnt prove or disprove anything which happened previously.
It will continue the same, as long as he is fit and instructed to press after losing posession.
As it always was with Messi.

On other notes, I'm extremely, extremely dissapointed with Luis Enrique loaning out Deulofeu, that was a cowardly move. Instead of forcing out the lazy old guard players, he turns to the younger ones. Very easy and convenient. Guardiola did just the opposite.
And secondly, he plays again Mascherano as CB insulting Bartra (he's calling him lazy, because he is 1.000.0000 times better than Mascherano at CB). Everything else I liked, but it was only Elche.
While we are at it, how about you eat the humble pie on Pedro as well?
Humble pie? On the second spanish top scorer in Spain last season? And Pedro played well the 30 minutes he was on. Anyway, not enough time and it was noticeable that he is not in top form after being ill all the week.

And if it doesnt?
Enrique told him not to press or he isnt fit?
You dont see the problem here?
He presses = Look at him press, working hard. good lad.
He doesnt = He injured. Coach told him not to.
At no point is there..hey, you could try a little harder.

In the league he is joint 3rd (Spanish) with Javi Guerra
He scored one goal in the champions league last season
Alexis scored more and assisted more, yet you wanted him out but not Pedro. I can't speak for others but the type of comments like "He won't live up to this price at arsenal, and if we face him, he won't touch the ball" is why you are considered a maniac.
But I'm not asking you to stop defending Pedro. There are reasons I come to this forum and one is entertainment...

Why Pedro is still wearing a Barca shirt I will never understand.

I didn't want Alexis out this season, but Arsenal offer was too good to refuse. And my assessment of Alexis at Arsenal will turn to be true. Already turning. He is already kinda flopping. I don't expect him to fail hard, just never reach an astonishing 45 milion € performance.
Pedro is doing well and he will just be a rotation guy this seaosn, more than good enough to do that.

I'd rather sell Pedro as he is no where near good enough for us anymore, but since we loaned out Tello, let go of Cuenca and loaned Deulofeu (a collective $0 brought in for all of that) we no longer have enough attacking options to afford the luxury of selling Pedro...

I watched Everton a lot last season, and I have many Everton fans as friends. Deulofeu isn't ready to play for Barcelona. He is inconsistent, undisciplined and is very naive. Talent is obviously there but the difference between him and Munir is that Munir understands that the chances he gets will be limited and he works hard to do his best for the team. Deulofeu has the mentality where he thinks he should be playing ahead of everyone when he is lazy, weak and more selfish than Ronaldo.
Of course he has that special talent in him. We all saw it in glimpses. But it will take him 2-3 years more to even start at Barcelona. Loan at Sevilla might put some sense in him. atm Rafinha and Munir are ahead of him.

I agree. I would sell them both in a second (or as Zub likes to do, 2 year loan with option to buy)

When he plays like he has played for us the past two and a half seasons(majority of it atleast),then he is a clear liability both offensively and defensively and costs us big time. Then we are better off without him. That much is unquestionable fact.
So keeping that in mind, leaves us 2 options.
1) Accepting what u say is true, and Messi was indeed instructed by the coaches not to run off the ball and not press, then that means only one thing. Our coaches were clueless idiots and had no right to coach a third division team lett alone our first team.So the list of clueless idiots who have managed us include Pep,Tito and Martino. There is no other explanation other than they were clueless and idiotic.
2) What u say is not true which leads to my conclusion. He has gotten too big and thinks he is bigger than the club and doesnt want to put in the required effort.
There is no third explanation. It is one or the other.
