Absolutely true. The only time foreign fans care about Italy when they can bash it for being "corrupted" and label it as a "cheater" league.

And that is partly down to the papers, but players, coaches and everyone play a huge part in it. Just check each of Roma's interviews after the match, disguisting, creating controversy one after another (let's note here that this kind of post match behaviour is true for most of Italy's teams including Juve)

I'm glad that a positive discussion about the Italian game resulted from a post about Calciopoli for once. Thumbs up

A lawyer in a Radio 24 interview suggested pressing charges against Rocchi. rofl

I like the precedent though, brb making a citizen's arrest on Essien.

What's the charge on Essien?

Indecent assault on my eyes?

Negligent misrepresentation of age?

Way to go Italy. Why they voted him for the next president is beyond me.

If one must know, he was rumoured to have called Africans "banana eaters". While I would admit that us black people do enjoy a lil fruit now and then (like every human being on earth), if what he said is true, 6 months isn't enough for being stupid (and racist).

Goal.com says Napoli(45) have been awarded the most penalties over the last five years, followed by Milan(44), Roma(42), Fiorentina(37), and Cagliari (35). Juventus are ninth with (31) and, and have been in the bottom 10, 3 of the last 5 years.

Inter have a -9 differential, which makes sense because I saw Milito miss their only penalty last year.

I don't want to get into a discussion about ref "favours" as I believe it's an issue of incompetence rather than bias, however if you did want to examine the issue, you'd require a far more complete analysis than simply tracking the absolute number of penalties awarded. Opposition goals incorrectly disallowed, offside goals allowed, penalties not conceded, disputable yellow and red cards etc would be required to accurately reflect any "bias."

To reiterate though, there is no conspiracy.

Proud of our response to that Juve loss. Wiped the floor with Chievo and never looked back. Ruthless from Roma.

1 point behind Juve now, who drew with Sassuolo. Neither side now has a 100% record so some of the pressure is off for both camps.
