I think referees have stopped picking on Pepe like they used to do after he cleaned up his act. I am not really surprised how clean he is, I dont even think he got 5 yellows last season. Since Mourinho left Pepe never gets himself into controversial situations and has been the best defender last season and so far this season. But funnily enough everybody else not affiliated with laliga still think he is a thug and doesn't deserve to be amongst the best. Still laughing at Ramos being nominated as the best defender when he wasn't even close to being OUR best defdnder

Mourinho tried to destroy this guys career because he sided with Iker in that conflict. Glad Carlo trusted him because I have never seen him this good in my life its like he is on dope. Pepe got 13 yellow cards last season which fits with his career trend. He's gotten away with quite a bit as well.

Fact still stands. He is incredibly clean as a defender. He must have gotten the 8 first ones in the first couple of games when he was trying to shake off the Mou stain left on him

Had 16 yellow and 3 reds last season
