This ffs, Bundesliga my new favourite league Proud

Højbjerg about Bendtner: "It is clear that the Premier League Bundesliga according to his physicality is 'his place', and I could see him scoring 20 goals in a season, if he hits a high level. Of course I can score 25, but that's a different matter".

Højbjerg, what a lad Proud

Out of curiosity how many people here expect Herrmann to break out at some point (maybe this year)? Or do you think he kind of is what he is. I remember there being hype around him for a little while but he seems to never really have taken that 'next step' to become a real attacking star (not that he's bad).

Well, I would certainly hope so. I just saw an interview with him and it sounded as if he was eager to make the best of the upcoming season. Normally Lucien Favre is able to make the players he coaches better - so I would say there is good hope for Patrick Herrmann to eventually shine. If they survive the quali matches against FK Sarajevo, he will have the chance to shine in the Europa League, so we will have to wait and see.

Hmm...I think it would be silly to sleep on Bendtner. He may be completely insane, but he does have talent.

Hm. I just read an article at transfermarkt.de that makes me suspect that BMG's coach Lucien Favre now has a personal scout who checks FIFA for him hmm
In the search for [further players] to strengthen [his team], Lucien Favre is helped by the 17 year old son of a Swiss friend. Favre states with a chuckle: "That's really crazy. One day before the two visited me, the boy sent me a list of players via email. Earlier I thought he had no clue about football, but the names [he sent me] were very interesting when I researched them a bit. That was really astounding."

Hm. I'm a bit torn there - I neither want Bayern to win, nor do I want Wolfsburg to win - so I guess a nice draw would indeed be the best result. ^^

Wolfsburg are a joke. I really thought they'd push on this summer but they barely spent anything. They impressively kept their stars (Gustavo, Rodriguez and De Bruyne) but they haven't really brought in any decent players to spring a legitimate push for Top 4 apart from Jung.

Yeah, because that's what I said. A club notorious for overspending and usually not reaping anything in return has only spent -£5m net this entire summer.

they have actually spent 6m € this summer. They got Hunt and Bendtner on a free, paid 2,5m for Jung which surely is a pretty good transfer, and loaned this French midfielder.

And noone really has left.

They invested heavily last season with De Bruyne and Gustavo, mind you, net spending more than 30m.
That's not something they'll do every year, without CL football.
