Yadda! The best thread of the goal.com Forum arrived here, too. Good move! One BL team for CL winners in 2011/12! :queen:

My respect for Bayern will start to wane if they continue their current course of unnescessary, Madrid-like purchasing this summer by picking up Vidal.

Well, I'd just wait until there is real news about who is bought and who not. Atm there is a lot of guesswork, not much real info.

BTW, Terra will stay at RWO even in the 3rd league. W00t!

Bayern signing Vidal would make no sense at all - unless we're replacing Altintop, but Hamit could play everywhere, and I don't see Vidal fulfill that same bench role... Although you gotta admit, a Vidal Schweinsteiger midfield would just be boss.

Exactly, having Schweinsteiger and Vidal pairing is the point. However it would make sense to buy two centre backs before anything else.

Also it'd be nice to know what the plans for Gustavo are, then. CB? LB? RB? Backup CM? Sell him?

I kind of don't think he's a bench guy.

Seems like Arnesen and Hamburg are only interested in foreign youth NT players? (Tƶre, Sala, Mancienne)

Dunno if I should like that.

also what's the use in getting so many new players but keeping Ɩnnies??

Someone's gotta give them use. The Bundesliga's the best for youth growth, as we all know. Creates real Men, or machines, really.

This massive thread attracts non-Bundesliga fans, though, and gives us more international input, that's why we'll try to keep it alive, if the Admins will let us.

Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa has expressed interest in playing in England, and in particular for Manchester United.

The 22-year-old, who enjoyed a stellar start to his career with Borussia Dortmund before injury curtailed his season, told Nikkan Sports that he would be open to an approach from the Premier League champions who are understood to have sent scouts to watch him.

"If I get a formal offer, I will be strongly interested in listening to what they have to say," said Kagawa.

"The Premier League is one of the leagues [where] I want to challenge. If it is [Manchester United], I'll be more eager still to go and see what I can do there."

Well he's got a contract, so... Haha.

But seriously, I think he was just explicitly asked about ManU in that interview, and players tend to say that ManU is an attractive club to play at - and they're right. Doesn't mean he wants out of his contract imho..

True. I guess one needs to read the original interview (including what his translator told him and what Kagawa said in Japanese). After all, Japanese people are notoriously super-polite, so they tend to say things in a way that most pleases the person they talk to.

That's the "problem" Bundesliga clubs have with Asian players, Serie A, La Liga and the EPL are just marketed so much more in Asia, and the Buli doesn't seem as "glamorous"

I still can't get that "Chelsea is gonna wiiin, Chelsea is gonna wiiin" "Oh whyyy didn't you wiiin Chelsea" chant from the Malaysian Airlines commercial on Star Sports out of my head. (But I think that has more to do with a girl called Chelsea scoring the most points in a finals match involving my high school - The yearly tournaments would group girls basketball with boys football and vice versa)
