Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Ha, and of course I will snatch the opportunity and make the first post. *boogie*
Today Yann Sommer was unveiled at Borussia M'gladbach:
This weekend, the Telekom-Cup will be contested in Hamburg with HSV, BMG, Bayern and Wolfsburg. Depending on the training impressions, Yann Sommer might even be already in goal for BMG then.

Forgive me if I post this link just for the German speakers here, but this is probably one of the best football quotes collections I have discovered so far - the editor's comments about the quotes make them doubly hilarious: http://www.derwesten.de/sport/fussball/die-111-besten-fussballsprueche-id4994785.html

So apparently Dortmund is very intent on getting back Kagawa. Hope it works out, they can use the depth.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
I would love to see Shinji Kagawa back at Dortmund. BTW, I really wonder why people are so after Marco Reus... I bet he will never be as good elsewhere than he is at Dortmund, too. Maybe Mario Götze will return next year, too?

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
And is awesome for the NT, RWO is kidding because of how Kagawa and Sahin worked out elsewhere, though Kagawa was undone by an utter traditionalist unwilling to accomodate him, and Sahin was just plain injured.
It still looks like it might be a pattern, though.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Where do you guys believe he'll go? The clubs I've heard he's linked with are Bayern, United and Barcelona. I don't know why we are after him considering he'll be fighting with Messi, Neymar, Suarez and Pedro for a spot, will beat Pedro, but will find it difficult with the other 3.
If he does leave, what club would you like to see him at if not for any of the linked ones?

Alexis given freedom on a team will be on a whole new level. Arsenal would probably be good place for him.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
fwiw, Bild have an 'article' today titled "battle for Reus", but it's not about transfers lol but about Dortmund trying to 'buy' his release clause out of his contract with a raise.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Well, about Marco Reus... I secretly hope that Dortmund will manage to buy out his release clause. Other than that, I don't really like to go into wild speculation about his possible destination.
After all, the earliest he will go is next season and who knows who will be the next flavour of the season and what are the line-ups of the big clubs one season after the current one.

Well, Bayern are not prepared to pay fantasy wages, and so I wouldn't consider it a forgone conclusion that Bayern will get him.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Reus himself has never given any indication he wants to leave.
Just because clubs like Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal and their fans can't stop jerking off to the thought of buying him doesn't mean he's actually on the market.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Allegedly, Dortmund offered him 7 mio instead of the 5 mio he is on at the moment. So I'm pretty sure wages are an item in the contract talks, too.Winter is Coming wrote:Does he want higher wages?

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
his release clause is what fuels the speculation, because a player of his quality for the price of it is a bargain in the market these days...I'm just linking clubs that he would likely fit in at and need a player of his position.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Art, that Reus is going to us is nothing more than wild, baseless speculation, which by the way also does not come from German media.
Of course B-Mac is right that with a release clause of 35m next year there will be many suitors. As in, everyone lol.
Still doesn't mean he'll leave.
