Mou the racist
http://www.football.fr/coupe-du-monde-2014/articles/mourinho-pepe-n-est-meme-pas-portugais-583418/
Regarding Pepe's ejection:
"Making your teammates defend with 10 men for so long was a big handicap. And the fact that he's not even Portuguese should have influenced him to act differently, which he didn't."
WTF is he talking about?!

He's right. Pepe isn't Portuguese, just like Costa isn't Spanish.

He's referring to Pepe's birthplace.

Re: Mou the racist
"Born in Brazil, Pepe has represented Portugal at international level", Wikipedia says.
Hm. "Pepe" wouldn't be my first idea as nickname for some "Képler Laveran Lima Ferreira"

Re: Mou the racist
He's naturalized and playing for Portugal. Why should that influence how he behaves????
Also, imagine if that kind of statement was made regarding Sterling or Strurridge in England ffs.
Wake up people. This isn't the 19th century.

Didn't Pepe only move to Portugal when he was 18 or so?

I don't agree with what Mourinho said, but being born somewhere and being naturalized somewhere are not the same. Your Sterling/Sturridge comparison isn't equivalent.

Re: Mou the racist
What's all this have to do with Mou getting away with being a racist? Because he was born in Brazil, he an animal that should have learned to behave differently when he became Portuguese?
Unbelievable.

Re: Mou the racist
Its more xenophobic than racist, if he said something like " Pepe is black and he is not even Portuguese" than it could be considered racist but he din't mention his race or anything. Anyway Mourinho is the kind of person who likes to be controversial just for the sake it of it, man looks for controversy even when there is none.

Re: Mou the racist
Marking someone as racist doesn't apply when talking about Pepe just like assassining Hitler wouldn't have marked Stauffenberg a murderer.
A very fitting comparison IMO.

But he didn't mention his race. I fail to see how this is racist.

You really need to stop with this kind of ignorant post tbh. You are not funny at all, a bit shameful that a grown man would write such drivel on the internet just to sound funny.
I'm disappointed

Re: Mou the racist
come on, this is ridiculous....i don't know mourinho personally, but i think its a little tacky for you to just throw out an accusation like that....you can call him arrogant, mean, childish or any such names, but i seriously doubt that dude is a racist. Mourinho has never said anything about pepe's naturalization till now, so it could be the fan in him that just took over....you can say his nationalistic i guess, but without strong evidence, calling the guy a racist is tacky and childish on your part...no disrespect

Re: Mou the racist
and btw, to the guy who's comparing pepe to hitler....give it a rest, its only football, no need to have your panties in a bunch cos a footballer fouls our favorite player. pepe as far as i know hasn't even committed any major crime (that he has been charged for), the other was responsible for the planned destruction of a groups of people as well as a world war....i know you think the joke u posted its funny, but many find that disrespectful on all levels...including me

Re: Mou the racist
Calling him racist is a overreaction, he's just rude and politically incorrect sometimes.
And btw you shouldn't be so surprised, this is not the first time he says things that offend a group of people, remember this ?

seriously you clowns need to stop riding every rubbish mou says, especially gil, his comments are unnecessary and kinda racist, nationality has nothing do with how you act as a person/player so why even bring it up?

I think xenophobe is a more appropriate word than racist, considering Brazilian is not a race.

Re: Mou the racist
So your complaint is in his saying that a player who isn't Portuguese, isn't Portuguese. Hm. I'm interested in hearing how the stating of a fact constitutes racism.

Re: Mou the racist
if pepe moves out of brazil at the age of 18 it's fine to nationalize for another country..
if diego costa does it at age 21 everyone thinks its a sin and destroy him

completely different things, Costa played for Brazil in two friendly and only just got his Spanish Nationality last year
while Pepe has never played for any Brazilian youth NT team
