Reports suggest that Juventus are no closer to sealing a deal for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski, with Wolfsburg loitering.

The Germany international emerged over the weekend as a credible target for the Bianconeri, with the suggestion that the player was very much behind the move.

Whilst also indicated by his agent soon after, reports today suggest that talks between Juve and Arsenal are not progressing.

The Guardian and Telegraph lead with suggestions that where Arsenal are favouring a permanent sale for the 29-year-old, the Bianconeri are pushing for a loan move.

Amid the British papers’ assertion of interest from the Bundesliga also present, L’Equipe today indicate that Wolfsburg are a threat, with a reported willingness to give Podolski a three-year contract and meet the Gunners’ asking price of £10m, around €12m.

It better be a loan with an option to buy. Juve should not be developing Bayern's players.
