Germany
When Germany are eliminated, I'll be a neutral and just enjoy the World Cup without screaming and shouting at every decision Löw makes.

Since you're Mexican, I am curious as to why you are not support them?

Re: Who will you root for??
England.
And I actually feel a bit sheepish about how clearly England is my favorite national team after Finland. Like my 2nd team, although you probably shouldn't have 2nd teams in internationals unless you've got blood or long-time residence ties to the country. Which I don't. But I like the country, well, the UK in general, relate to much of it's culture and people and follow by far the most their domestic league.
A bonus that there's now so many Liverpool players in the England team

Always been a neutral in international football, India's not near the WC for sometime. Might just end up cheering for the Asian teams in the competition.

Re: Who will you root for??
I always have two, and really only two.
1. USA (I am not a jingoistic person but during the WC I temporarily become one)
2. Germany (used to live there, saw my first pro match there, learned to play soccer as a kid there, rooted for them since back in the early '90s when they weren't sexy)
The group stage will be tough to watch.
Other than that, each tournament there are usually 1-2 other teams I like to pull for (very half-heartedly) because I enjoy the way they play and approach the tournament, etc. But this is purely ephemeral.

..I'll go away and sulk till the pre-season starts, or try to find solace in the transfer window. As a gooner, I don't have very high hopes in the latter, obviously.

Re: Who will you root for??
1) England obviously
Below are the teams I would casually root for but wouldn't care if they lose or anything.
2) France
3) Argentina cause Messi
4) Every African team but mainly Ivory Coast
5) Iran

Re: Who will you root for??
Most of you guys are so lucky to have your own country playing in the World Cup. Some times I feel ashamed a bit cheering, sulking for a country that's not my own. I have been enjoying the World Cups since 82. I just can't imagine how awesome it would be to cheer for Bangladesh (not going to happen).

Re: Who will you root for??
I support Italy pretty strongly, other than the Milan link, my grandfather loves Italy and he was helped a lot by Italian oil workers back in Iraq.
Other than that, I support Asian teams because I want to see the sport develop more in the continent.

Surely Krieger would be one of the German-American players rather than Timmy Howard?

Have a deep connection with Australia after managing them on FIFA and leading them to a WC Semi final.
