Re: CL Final: Real Madrid 4-1 Atletico Madrid Post Match Discussion
Men of the Match:
Di Maria: Absolute masterclass, should have had more assists to his name and all but put in the winning goal.
Godin: Besides his goal, he was rock at defense. Also, the yellow he got should have been for Gabi and not him.
Match conclusions:
Madird get their coveted Decima title. Perez justifies his wastefull football philosophy. Carlo the first coach to have 3 CL trophies (modern CL).
Tactical Mistakes:
Real:
1- Playing Khedria who was just returning from a long injury was a terrible decesion from Carlo. However, he fixed it by introducing Isco and pulling Modric back.
Atleti:
1- Playing Costa basically cost them a sub. Useless gamble from Simone.
2- I have no idea why Simone decided to sub Luis. It was a wasting time tactic that backfired badly imo.
Conclusion:
Congrats Madrid for winning the thing, and congrats Atleti for seriously showing the world how a good team can go beyond their economical standing.

Yea...classless....Dnmac4 wrote:The guy was terrible all game long down to the end trying to do a million step overs in the corner and getting the ball taken from him instead of running the clock down to getting in position to score and falling flat on his face.
His free kicks were terrible and he basically had 0 impact on the game.
Then he see's Marcelo get's a goal while Atleti are DEAD tired and one of there defenders basically has a broken ankle and he decides this is a good time to go get a soft penalty. The ref gives it of course (it was a penalty but a weak one a ref usually lets go when the game is over) and he makes the PK then rips his shirt of and flex's in a celebration all by himself acting like he had anything to do with winning this game what so ever.
This guy is so scripted it's incredible. Bale runs all the way over and thanks Di Maria for setting his goal up as he knows where his bread is buttered and for Ronaldo to run around flexing acting like a dirt bag is just typical from him. How about show a little respect for a team that was dead on there feet.
Just classless.

Both apply.
He used to dive a lot for penalties when he was at Man Utd when the game was pretty much won. Vile piece of shit that he is.
Pleased for Ancelotti though. There's very little to like about that disgraceful club but he deserves success where ever he goes.

Is Bale a Madrid legend?
I think he is. Scored copa winning goal. Scored CL winning goal. Ronaldo is a Madrid legend as well.

I noticed you like very little about many football clubs.
Why do you like Ancelotti?? (I am genuinely curious)

yes, scored the 2-1 for the CL final and won the copa, he was clutch, however bad his performances were. but he justified why he is in madrid

Ronaldo's blatant attempt at grabbing headlines with celebrations after converting a useless pen when the game is over epitomizes why so many people dislike him.

Completely fine to be narcissistic, I think you have to be to be one of the best players in the world, I just really can't see any other of the top players in the world acting like that.
Bale is a great example thanking Di MAria and celebrating with his team, I mean this guy couldn't get any closer to the camera and further from his teammates.
I have always defended Ronaldo BTW and LA Liga won today so I didn't really care who won. Madrid wining La Decima was always going to happen.
For him to get a soft goal like that and I promise you every paper tomorrow will have him running around without his shirt on instead of Bale or Ramos wining the game is a travesty for what actually happened on the pitch out there.
It's a shame, it's classless and

For sure Marcelo and Isco. Thought Isco should have started that whole time. Great subs by Ancelotti and heart by our players. That last half bombardment broke down that massive bus in front of goal!Mamad wrote:Marcelo the goat changed the game.
