Tbh I was against this grandpa being our first choice keeper in the World Cup but he proved me wrong times and times again. Even if he magically appears in Sabella's list for World Cup he is surely going to be sitting on the bench.

Now Atletico doesn't have to score to win the league. They could field just 1 striker and have the entire rest of the team just Chelsea us all match and hover around the penalty box for 90 mins. They have next to no reason to have to even bother to try to even catch us on a counter. If we couldn't score on them when they were actually trying to beat us, I don't see how we will score on them when they don't.

Not really. A win wouldn't have changed anything. We'd still need to beat them. If we had won against Elche the table would have been:

Atletico: 89
Barca: 88
Mehdrid: 84

They don't even need to pull a Chelsea, they have perfected their approach against Barcelona throughout the season, a perfect mix of high pressing and park the bus. Which basically means press high when Barcelona have the ball in their third and during goal kicks so Barcelona hoof it and clog up the middle of the park once Barcelona move to the middle third. Barcelona's build up is so slow that it allows the said transition to take place with minimal risks. The same thing Madrid did at Allianz against Bayern.

Of course with Barcelona everything is possible, a moment magic from Iniesta or Messi and you will have a real chance but Atlético will have the psychological advantage. Let's not forget that Atlético were quite lucky to have escaped with a draw from Camp Nou the when the two teams met in Champions League.

  Caballero is never been rated by Sabella so I believe it will be still so . we'll see anyway
