Last time around we started slowly, struggling to impress our usual game on Inter in the absence of Montolivo, however after a rough fifteen minutes we managed to establish dominance of the ball without any real penetration until we tired badly in the last fifteen minutes and lost to Palacio's excellent back-hell finish. In truth Inter also deserved a penalty.

This time around we have a new coach and a new formation with which to do battle with the old enemy. Inter are in decent form and will be particularly motivated to send Zanetti off with a victory in his final derby. Seedorf has been under pressure in the media to field Pazzini from the start, however one would expect to see Balotelli feature as a lone centre forward as has been the rule under the Dutchman. One would expect Kaka and Taarabt to line up behind Balotelli with the final spot going to one Honda or Poli depending on how concerned Seedorf is about our defensive structure. I would personally expect to see Keisuke play his first derby, however Seedorf has proven hard to predict at times with his final selection.

Given our disappointing record in the derby of late and our season thus far it is hard to predict a victory, however the presence of El Shaarawy in the stands and on the bench will hopefully give us the lift we need to spoil Zanetti's send off. Hopefully the fans of both teams give him the dignified farewell this champion deserves and the match is one to remember for the right reasons.

I think our tifosi, including ES, will demonstrate a dignified and respectful appreciation of the incredible career of legendary ageless Javier Zanetti on behalf of all Milan fans, equivalent to the choreography we saw from the Interisti in Maldini's last derby.

I'm really not sure how this one will go. My gut feel is that Seedorf has known for a long time that there is a lot riding on this game in terms of the club's future and his future at the club and it follows that he has been preparing for this game for a long time. Winning this game will go a long way to proving his suitability for the job at this early stage in his tenure.

Zanetti deserves every bit of respect we can afford him , i am sure he will be saluted with great enthusiasm by both set of fans. Zanetti is a rare player and comes from a league where very few can boost of being a part of and he deserves recognition for this.

As for the derby , i think Milan is capable of winning this , even though the same can safely be said for Inter. What the result shall mean for Seedorf , that i could not tell. We either win emphaticaly , we either lose in a bad way , things have taken their course by now. Nothing would surprise me from now on , even the case where Seedorf takes Milan to the EL , only to be sacked.

So from my part , i am not thinking about Seedorf . I am thinking Milan better win this and go to the EL next season.
