Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of Paul Pogba by preparing to offer him the most lucrative contract in their history, Goal understands.

The Londoners are putting together what sources say is a "staggering" package to entice the French sensation to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Juventus are determined to keep Pogba as they consider him a huge player both for now and the future as they look to retain their place among the European elite and improve on recent poor showings in the Champions League.

Juve's ambition is to renew the player's contract but, particularly in the recent history of Italian football, everyone has their price.

Juventus would, therefore, be willing to discuss a Pogba move if they were to receive a monster offer of around £65 million. Were he to make a major impact in the latter stages of the World Cup his value would soar even further.Cesc Fabregas joined Eden Hazard, Fernando Torres and John Terry in the top bracket of Chelsea earners on the playing staff when he transferred from Barcelona earlier this month for £28.4 million in a deal worth a basic £180,000 a week.

We're signing Costa (assuming he is 1st choice) Lukaku is either staying or going (Would be second choice) Torres is unlikely to leave (3rd choice). So Emenike would make some sense if Lukaku leaves, but I don't see him as any upgrade over Ba. May as well keep Ba in that case.

Unless we can actually get rid of Torres, then I'd be ok with him being third choice.

It is a lot, If we sold Ramires and Mikel, perhaps brought in Thiago mendes, I'd be ok with it.

For me CM is like the most important part of the pitch, if we get Pogba we would be amazing.

Don't forget we did sell Luiz for a silly sum and big wages of Cashley and Frank are off the books. It is a lot but we can comfortably afford it without selling anyone, but like you said happy for Mikel to be sold.

I think you are misinformed about our finances if you believe signing Pogba for £60M as it is now would do to the club.

We would be more than comfortable with this INCLUDING Costa and Luis.
