His agent is Jorge Mendes, so the explanation most likely is just another shady money deal.

someone at porto told valencia that he has an italian passport, transfer was agreed, paperwork was signed, then it turned out he doesn't have an italian passport and we already had all 3 non-eu roster spots filled

Wouldn't Valencia be able to cancel the transaction if the Porto representative knowingly or unknowingly mislead them about his status? This seems like a huge error.

Never thought he was any good anyway. Milan were interested a few years ago, about 2010. Not sure if he's gotten any better since I last saw him.
