Nish it will if we want to win the title.
Anyways Sakho (or Zakho like Rodgers likes to call him) will be back for United. Which is for the best

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Fulham kept a clean sheet against Chelsea until half-time, but conceded three by the time the tie was over. We've been playing worse than Fulham. My point is, we need to stop these numerous waves of Soton attacks or our opening goal will be little consolation.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
4312 has to go.
They're all over us and have been wasteful. We scored from fortune and been second best since.
The whole midfield has been poor, Flanagan is being targeted and Sturridge has been isolated.
Chuck Sterling on for Coutinho (hasn't played a good away game in a while.....) and take back control of the tie.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Need to exploit the high line with the counter, Sterling will spread their defence and put them on the back foot. Not sure why he was dropped. (Assuming it's tactical, I woke up @ 4:31AM and missed the first minute lol)

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Starting to believe Suarez doesn't want to break the record lol. Should of had a shot instead of trying to get Daniel on the scoresheet there. Must be finished.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Suarez now has 10 assists in the league (most)
24 goals (most in the league)
Most penalty wins in the league... lol
And Liverpool is second.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Suarez: 100 games for Liverpool, 62 goals. (Can't find total assists right now as I'm on phone.)
Sterling: 50 games (already ), 8 goals, can't find assists but it's around 20 iirc.

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Mignolet was excellent, Did his job properly. 8/10
Defense was not exactly bad.
It was a tale of two halves for Flano, Dealt well with Shaw in the second, But could'nt handle him in the first. Showed some very neat touches on the ball which we dont expect from him as well 7/10
Skrtel, Best defender this season, MOM contender. 9/10
Agger, Not bad but not the best. Coming upto speed slowly, Would still try Sakho at a game at Anfield. 7.5/10
Johnson, Excellent game. Was fantastic defensively throughout. Didnt make a single error while defending, Showed the most desire to win the ball back as Allen and the forwards lost it on the wing, Playing on the left we saw how nervous he was, Barely went ahead of the half line and kept playing safe passes. 8/10
Midfield was so-so
Gerrard, Passenger in the first half, But as we got that second goal, Showed drive and passion with those long balls, tackles. Capped off the average display with a absolutely WC penalty. 7.5/10
Allen. meh was OK throughout. 6/10
Henderson, Had a specific role today. Did most of his running trying to shelter Flano against the bombardment and was successful. Good game, Should have scored from that Allen pass though. 7/10
Coutinho, Horrible, Chasing shadows throughout the game, Subbed off rightfully, Couldnt get his passes straight. 5/10
Sturridge. Suarez did everything in his power to try make him score haha, You dont score every week lad. Not one of his best showings. 6.5/10
Suarez. 9/10 MOM contender.
Sterling <3

Re: Southampton vs. Liverpool
Clean sheet
In an away game no less.
First-half was poor from us and it was only the upright that kept us from conceding, but I was delighted to witness a much better LFC side in the second-half. Didn't give Southampton anywhere near the chances they got in the first 45 minutes.
That second goal was so important in giving us the mental edge, Gerrard's penalty added gloss to the victory.
Top-3 worst performances: Flanagan, Coutinho, Johnson.
Top-3 best performances: Suarez, Skrtel and maybe Sterling just for that very important 2nd goal.

So im the only one who thought Johnson was excellent in the role he filled for the team today? (Regardless of attacking instincts.)

My broadcast said it was his 7th, and it does get refreshed so he won't be suspended until 10.
