Would you take him back?
Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
Tancredi Palmeri claims Arsene Wenger met with Kees Voss and that Robin van Persie wants to return to the Emirates. He doesn't have any interest in joining any other club, Wenger is keen, Moyes will let him go for the right bid "to be happy". The necessary components for the deal are "80%" there and "these are the months" they are trying to seal it.
What do we feel?

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
This is like when Michael Owen wanted to come back after betraying Liverpool, only difference is we are actually interested.
He's going to be 31.
He's having injury issues yet again
Will cost 25m+
Hell friggin no.

l believe it, not because of what this guy said but just that it makes sense.
Wenger will want him back. He's said nothing but good things about RVP ever since he was sold. United are going to need to rebuild if they finish out of top 4. Selling a 31 year old for a large fee is a good way to start.
United will probably sell RVP this summer.. RVP will want to leave. Wenger will want him back.

Flamini was free... if he sucked or did anything you didn't like, you could boot him asap. RVP is actually going to cost significant money.

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
Does this even make sense from a purely footballing perspective? Yes, he's one of the most talented strikers in the world but he turns 31, has had an injury-riddled season and is nowhere near worth £30million+ especially to us.
If Wenger didn't want permanent moves for Berba, Vucinic etc. because they would inhibit moves for younger talent in the future then why would he do it for van Persie? He's much more talented, yes, but his aging and injury vulnerability bring him way down in terms of value.

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
Lololololol
Not a snowballs chance...that RvP will return.
So we give Utd £10m...so what of RvP's mammoth contract at around £200k a week. Do we match that? If so, for how long?
The whole thing is a crock of sh!t. An embarrassment, in fact.
£120m cash reserve- hell, we may as well buy Greece. Factor in Puma cash injection etc and we're looking at £150m. Yet this imbecile is entertaining the notion of RvP returning.
Cool, cool.

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
I can maybe see RvP wanting to come back. He jumped what he thought was a sinking ship, had his season of glory, and now finds himself on another sinking ship. And, like many other players who've left Arsenal, he might miss the club setup and Wenger himself.
I can also see Wenger being open to an RvP return – for a lot of reasons I don't need to get all prolix about.
But I can't see Wenger paying a ton of money for RvP to come back and start next season as a 31-year-old. Palmeri has called some things right, but he's also an attention-seeking guy just like so many other journos. It would be stupid to judge Wenger on this rumor one way or the other until there is some kind of substantial corroboration.

Van Persie meets Wenger to discuss Arsenal return
The Gunners boss has met with the representative of the Dutchman, who has become disillusioned with life at Manchester United and is angling for a move back to the Emirates Stadium.
Source: Sky Sport Italia
Its from Sky Italia which is a highly reliable source.

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
But is Sky Italia just regurgitating what Palmeri said? Or are they using their own 'sources'.
Because a lot of reports today are getting passed on as fact when in reality they originated from a 'source' like Caught Offside.

As far as i know ,Sky Italia use their own 'sources' most of the time.I read them on an almost day to day basis.

Re: Robin van Persie - "Wants to return to the Emirates"
From my experience, Sky Italia are highly reliable when it comes to Serie A, Italian players and some german clubs... because they use their own sources. For everything else, they're bad so i assume they use 3rd party sources there even if they don't say that they do always.

They're clearly not 'bad'.Though, they might be not as reliable as they are with Italian transfer rumors.
