Liverpool can give Arsenal 'a hard time', insists Skrtel
See you Saturday Skrtel.
"I am confident we can beat Arsenal because we definitely have the strength to do so,"
"They are the leaders at the moment but we can give them a hard time.
"It won't be an easy game but I am sure we can do something in front of our own fans."
See you Saturday Skrtel.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
There's not much wrong with what he's said, so I don't see why you're taking issue with it. Do Liverpool have the "strength" to beat Arsenal? Absolutely. Will that strength be fully available or on show this weekend? It's possible, but not a certainty.
Never understood why people take issue with comments like those. He's not belittling Arsenal in any way, he's simply stating his belief in Liverpool. Hell, if anything Liverpool fans will probably be upset that he's talking as though Arsenal are favourites to get the points at Anfield with his "give them a hard time" bit. There's clear respect for Arsenal's team there.

I don't think Raptorgunner necessarily took issue with it tbh. Just a bit of banter.

It was more a general comment on fans than a critique purely of his post. That said, he post DID indeed spur my response and if he didn't have any issue with it he would neither have taken the time to post and respond to it nor would he have specifically put a part in bold.Blue Barrett wrote:I don't think Raptorgunner necessarily took issue with it tbh. To the following page discussion:
Agger isn't first team anymore. Sakho's ousted him out, and Skrtel has been a guaranteed starter since that United game. So we can stop saying our "whole back 4 is out". 3 of them are out, 4 only if you want to include Lucas.

Home records in the league:
City: 11-0-1 = 33 points
Chelsea: 10-2-0 = 32 points
Liverpool: 10-1-1 = 31 points
Arsenal: 9-2-1 = 29 points
The teams who repay the money their fans pay to watch them play. Gotta love these 4 beauties

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Liverpool's number of first half goals: 38/58
Liverpool's number of second half goal conceded: 16/29
Arsenal number of second half goals: 30/47
Fair to say, in order for us to get a good result on saturday, we must start like house and fire and get a lead in first half...because Arsenal tend to turn into a whole ruthless team in second half of games

I dont have a problem with what he said, you made it sound like I had a problem with it. All I said was "see you Saturday" and I made in bold because he seems very confident, which makes the game even more interesting for the fans. Its a must win game for Liverpool, off course he is going to say what he said, if you want to make CL you must win you home games.
I love reading what other players think of us before facing them, and including reading the fans responds. You need to relax man its a football forum and its a EPL thread. I didn't make a thread, I just posted here for fun.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
I think it's hilarious that because Utd are sitting in 7th place now all of a sudden the PL has a 'Big 7'.
Next season it'll be the 'big 9' then, etc.

You have to be careful how you mention Liverpool, otherwise you will be banned for some banal stuff.
Speaking of Liverpool, they are doing well this season thanks to horrible form of Spuds and Man Utd.
I think, this game is most important in years. So much at stake here.

Comon give them/Rodgers some credit, it's not just like they've got lucky and stumbled into 4th spot. They've put in some quality performances and earnt it, along the way getting unlucky against City and a few other sides.

http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/fair-play.html
Financial fair rule table with the EPL.
Note:
-Liverpool's first with no CL.
-City are top 4, and are in touching distance with Arsenal who sit in second... yet they're getting a lot of stick for not following the rules. (Although I may be wrong and it might be directed at the dodgy commercial deals they've done in the past.)
-Manchester United are 17th.
-Another "hypocritical" message from Mourinho, as Chelsea lay lower than City.

I never thought I'd see this day. Liverpool finishing on top of the league. I don't know how to explain these feels.
(I'm aware it can change from now until the end of the season.)

it's because you obviously don't foul and pressure the ref much, and have an overall positive approach. Utd however
