Unbelievably good results for us. Need to take care of our match at the Hawthorns and see where we stand.

I love Bellamy. He's a huge Red and never takes shit from anyone.

Still stand by my statement that Sherwood was the right and obvious choice as caretaker of Spurs, but he's out of his depth.
I think we've only used 3 subs in a game once due to injury. Sherwood literally has no idea how to impact a game using his bench. While I'm happy Paulinho got a goal, both him and Lennon were complete shit the entire game and should of been pulled off just after half time when they continued to create anti-offense. Instead we get a late meaningless sub for Ade in the 89th minute and nothing else.
Settling for a draw against Hull

Bellamy.
He also had a goal line cleareance. Could be key for Cardiff staying up.
Let's just hope he stays fit now! Struggled with injuries all season.

I look forward to Pepe Mel tactically taping us. I do wonder which sort of tape he'll bring.

Who cares what tape he brings, both teams have holes in the middle of the pitch so we have a chance!

I guess that's why the tape is needed, right? So as to tape the huge gaping holes in the middle.

Would you consider buying Borini (say for GBR 12-15 million) if Sunderland stays in EPL!!!

If we sell Borini we're a bunch of idiots.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
I would actually like to bring Borini back unless someone offers more than what we bought him for. So more than £11.5m. He's much better and more useful than Aspas as a backup to SAS.
But if Sunderland pay us that much money I'd take it. But there is a small chance he might turn out to be good and we might regret it

NiallQuinnsdiscoPants and those who have followed Sunderland and Borini regularly, how was he??? I have watched games highlights and some tid-bits from live/full games (including yesterdays).

I read the Sunderland forum and they love him. Everyone wants to keep him but they are skeptical if Borini himself wants stay.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Borini is a warrior , it's easy love him.
He's ideal for Rodgers' game style, as alternative to regular players, infact he wanted the Italian player ardently.
Good choice sent him to play with Sunderland, Poyet is a coach very good and he needed to play with continuity.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
There is no way we will/should sell Borini.End of Story
He is player Rodger's rates highly, performing exceptionally for Sunderland while adjusting to PL and suits our system perfectly . I highly doubt we could sign a better backup for Suarez and Sturridge.

I will take him if he can go on prove that he can do that more often.

Borini will challenge Sterling on the current team albeit play on the left hand side, rather than on the right.

I expect Rodger's will sign another wide in the summer considering our interest in Salah and Konoplyanka.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Hope not.
I really do believe Borini is ready to be that player to offer a goal threat from out wide. He can play our game, and has finally setteld to pace in the premier league. (This is pretty much his "first" season in the PL. He played in the championship before joining Liverpool, and then was injured for 3/4 of the season and never played.)
Sterling will continue to get better, too.
We need to fix the midfield.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
We will play 55-60 games next year if we make CL .Both Sterling and Borini will get plenty of game time .We need another world class player to take pressure of SAS particularly in goal scoring.
Personally i would like us to sign a wide player CM and LB.Along with Borini and Suso returning we will have enough depth then to cope with Europe

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Need goals from midfield, as well as more from the likes of Borini / Sterling / Coutinho.
Don't forget we get Suso back, too.
Get a marquee attacking midfielder, that can pitch in with 10-15, and SAS automatically giving us 40+, we'll be alright.

Agree about goal but dont want an AM .Coutinho with experience will find his goal scoring touch soon imo.
Personally i would like us to sign a wide player (would love to sign Lallana from Southampton) , CM and LB.Along with Borini and Suso returning we will have enough depth then to cope with Europe.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
I dont see any future for Borini in Liverpool. He is average player and with liverpool getting 4th place they would definitely bring in some quality wide players that will make it even difficult for him to return.Future Midtable player.
Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Coutinho will always be more of a creative player and is still best utilized on the left flank.
We need an attacking midfielder. We lack an attacking minded midfielder in this squad right now. Gerrard is playing deeper, Henderson and Allen are both box-to-box but lack goals (we need more goals from them too) and Lucas is our only defensive minded player.
So I'd like an attacking midfielder, preferably a goal scorer and a defensive midfielder to rival Lucas and we'll be set I think.
