Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
Wenger: "When you’re in a good position to fight for something, the closer you get to the end the more each game becomes vital"
Arsenal have not lost at Anfield for 7 years, managing 24 goals on their last 10 visits.
Kieron Gibbs: 'Arsenal can make big statement at Anfield'
"I think it would make a big statement if we won there, just like it did when we played Liverpool at home," Gibbs told reporters.
"Before that game, we had not played any big games and although we were sitting at the top of the league, people were saying, 'There's a big game coming now, that will put it into perspective.'
"Everyone enjoys the big games and this is just another big game to show what we can go and do."

BR: Glen Johnson is making a great recovery, hopefully back next week. Same with Agger. But Sakho and Enrique are out for a bit longer.

F*cking goldHapless_Hans wrote:I think it's hilarious that because Utd are sitting in 7th place now all of a sudden the PL has a 'Big 7'.
Next season it'll be the 'big 9' then, etc.
Ought to make that my signature.

Yep he is back. But might not start because of fitness. Although I hope he does.

We will miss Flamini. He would man mark Suarez and give him hard time, because Arteta is slightly advanced.
I hope Giroud steps up his game ffs.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
@Red Alert: We were regulars in the top 2 or 3 of the Fair Play Table under Rafa. It was usually a competition between Fulham and Liverpool for top spot.
Addressing the comments on the "Big 7" I think it has more to do with 7 teams being realistically capable of obtaining a CL spot and, in relatively recent memory, competing for both trophies and a spot at that top end of the table. Yes, it's a bit asinine to suddenly break it out now, but at the same time it's just an extension of the constantly growing "Big X" club of clubs. When Liverpool fell out of the CL places and Spurs and City moved up, it became a "Big 5" and even a "Big 6." Now that Liverpool is showing a bit of resurgence and Everton appear to be putting in a real challenge it's only natural that it's been expanded to (re)include them. It's less to do with United's fall and more to do with the relative rise of several other clubs in recent seasons.

Alright, but still it's fair to say that had Moyes stayed at Everton it wouldn't have gone beyond a 'Big 6'

Football League to lobby Government in major move for safe standing areas
For the first time one of the English game’s governing bodies is ask the Government to legitimise standing areas at all-seat stadiums.

Wish him luck in his future endeavors, absolutel monster in his prime, sadly he hasn't been a top defender for quite some time. Could do well in Serie A I guess.
