We are as close to 2nd spot, as United are to us. In fact we are close to 1st, as United to us, if you count GD.
I'd give up on top 3, only if we don't beat Arsenal next saturday. If we did though....well, things will look rather good

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
I haven't give up on 2nd place yet. But I have given up on the title.
I think with Arsenal's unbelievably tough schedule coming up and if we beat them next weekend then I can see us finishing above them possibly. And also Chelsea, I think they are shit. Next week City will rip them to shreds at the Etihad and if we beat WBA we'll be 1 point behind them with them still having to travel to Anfield.

I can guarantee you that City will not be "ripping us to shreds" next week.McAgger wrote:I haven't give up on 2nd place yet. But I have given up on the title.

Also, top 3 is LOCKED. Forget anyone's schedule. Its going to be Arsenal, Chelsea & City in whatever order. No need to give yourself false hope.

Where did this new found Liverpool confidence come from? Because we drew a game?

^because we comfortably raped a team that you were lucky not to lose to at home and are about to sign the best Ukrainian player since Shevchenko . Imagine Arsenal section if you had just beat Spurs that everyone has been ranking off to all season 4-0, confidence would have been rocket high

Yarmolenko is far a more technical and known to be a bit more profilic goalscorer, yet no fuzz about him. Quick someone start a rumour of him linking up City or something.

Arsenal to sign Draxler AND Vucinic?
They're going all out yet still fail to sign a quality striker.

Lex and Barret a bit shaken knowing that we have a very very good chance overtaking them both in the league.
Barret you might not get ripped to shreds at the Etihad, you might not even lose, in fact, if Mou parks Abromovich's private jet in front of goal and you get extremely lucky, but you will DEFINITELY drop 2 points. 2/3 points is really the distance I hope to be within when you travel to Anfield.

How about we take this to the betting thread and I bet you on Chelsea neither losing at Anfield nor the Etihad?

We're just as close to 3rd spot, as we are to 5th if you take our goal difference into account.

Btw, the only flaw in this thing is it can not be expected that the teams will get the results (wins), by comparing the last season's H2H results but still a good insight

Remy's 3 match ban is upheld but Bradley Johnson's is wiped.
When it was Bradley Johnson who pushed Remy....
What a f*cking joke, the FA are not doing a very good of making me think they don't actually hate us.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V6
^ Wow. Very surprised. Really wanted Remy to at least be able to play vs. Spurs
Anyways. Very interesting match-day coming up...Tricky fixtures all around:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Newcastle vs. Sunderland- Do I really need to say anything ?
Westham vs. Swansea- relegation 6 pointer
Cardiff vs. Norwich- relegation 6 pointer
Everton vs. Villa- Wounded Everton vs. rejuvenated Villa who are better away
Fulham vs. Saints- Must win for Fulham
Stoke vs. United- Stoke in terrible form and under pressure at home
Hull vs. Spurs- Hull, just like Stoke in terrible form and Spurs wanting to bounce back
WBA vs. Liverpool- Pepe Mel getting stick for his highline and selections, and WBA need a lift against high-note Liverpool
Arsenal vs. Palace- 2 of the most in-form teams of the league. Wenger vs. Pulis
City vs. Chelsea- Well, no explanation needed

Sunderland signed Vergini, Scocco, Ustari and are rumored to be after Banega and Centurion. All in one winter session

Centurion ?
We tried to get Banega apparently but don't think there was any chance of it ever happening.
Unless there is a miracle tomorow. We have also signed this Bridcutt guy from Brighton.
