PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Le-psg-tente-le-coup-de-siecle/9127
According to l'Equipe, the club is willing to pay the 250-450 mil required to buy the player and has already had several discussions with Messi's father. Remains to be seen if Messi decides to accept the offer... but he hasn't said no. It's the release clause, so Barca can't do anything if Messi accepts.

450m for a player.. what a shame if that ever does happen in the history of football.

I have started the impregnation process of Scarlett Johansson. Remains to be seen if she accepts the offer but she hasn't said no. It's a free world we live in so her parents can do nothing about it if Scarlett accepts.

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
It'll force OM to spend money and compete instead of just sitting on their arse and accepting mediocrity... otherwise, there would be a fan revolt. Will force the current owner to spend or sell the team to someone who can. So yes, it would be great for OM. They can't use the excuse of "we're competitive in Ligue 1" as an excuse anymore. They won't be competitive.

Massive news for OM.You can expect them to finalise deals for the likes of Mavuba and Kalou now. With this they can surely stand toe to toe with PSG.

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
why are Juve fans going defensive mode in anything related to PSG? scared of losing Pogba to them?
Any way they tried to get CR which was confirmed by Leanardo , so this isnt really a surprise although i cant see Messi moving there.

Doubt Messi would move to a club that isn't as good as Barca.

I doubt however we'd be willing to pay so much for a player.

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
not sure why people always get so defensive about this stuff. It's strange. It's like Bayern activating Javi Martinez' release clause and Bilbao not being able to stop it or Madrid doing the same with Isco & Illaramendi.
if the player is ok with the move and the release clause is paid, nothing can be done by Barca.
And btw, Messi's parents are the ones talking to PSG (his father is his agent). So the parents are good with the idea
Is Messi burnt out on Barca and looking for another adventure? That's the big question.

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
Messi is a small town boy, learning a new language and moving to a new city is not his style.
But then again anything is possible of you double a contract xD

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
Never going to France.
Psg are man city lite, they'll never sign a messi/ cr7 etc in their prime, lets not pretend psg are a big club because they're flush with money.
The status of France and psg are not big ensign to attract said players, sign from napoli/ Milan etc but they'll never entice big players from big clubs.
Jose was talking about sending mata to a 2nd tier lye instead of utd and how it wouldn't be fair to juan.. He mentioned French football as well. That's their status.
If they could sign a messi, they would have already. Simple

Re: PSG have started the bidding process for Messi
Jorge Messi, Lionel Messi's father and agent, insists that the Barcelona star is not thinking about leaving the club.
Big spending Paris Saint Germain are widely reported to be hoping to prise him away from the Camp Nou in the summer.
However, Messi has never shown any inclination of wanting to leave Barca and his father insists that he is not looking to leave the Catalan giants.
"I have heard about those rumours and I don't know where it came from," Jorge Messi told L'Equipe when asked about PSG's reported interested.
"There is nothing so far. Lionel is a Barcelona player, where he is under contract for several years [until 2018].
"It is an honour to know PSG could think about him. But I repeat it is not a subject we want to think about now.
"The only reality is his contract with Barca. I don't know what we are talking about when people talk about a transfer here or there. We don't want to think about anything, neither Paris nor any other team."
Messi senior admits that nothing is certain in football, but he does not envisage any move.
"Can I assure Messi will play at Barca next season? He is under contract. Then in Football, you know we never know what can happen.
"I don't know what will be tomorrow made of. Only God knows."
