Barcelona want to pay for Fabregas in instalments as Madrid enter the bidding
It is being reported today that Barcelona are going to bid £34m for Cesc Fabregas this weekend, and the Arsenal captain is hoping to avoid returning to the Emirates for pre-season training on Tuesday.
But the Mirror reports that the Spanish giants are going to take the p*ss even more by asking to pay the transfer fee in four yearly instalments of £8.5m, and spreading the cost over the lifetime of Fabregas’ contract at the Camp Nou.
The 23 year-old is currently on holiday is expecting to go straight to Barcelona instead as the longer trip to London, but SkySports “understands” that the Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is going to try and put a spoke in the works by entering a bid of £45m.
It would certainly be interesting to see how both Wenger and Fabregas would react if this happens. Would Barcelona increase their bid or expect Fabregas to force Wenger to take the lower bid from Barca?

Maybe so, but if we drop in an offer that is a significant amount more AND in bags of cash today. How can Wegner accept Barca's offer?

I'm just surprised Barcelona haven't tried to hand us an I.O.U yet

Barca's last offer:
Cesc: 29 + 6 M euro!
Barça considers that Toral and Bellerín, the cadets that Wenger took to Arsenal, cost 6 million euros
Fair imo!

Toral and Bellerín cost us 750,000 euros in compensation.
How in the world is it fair for Barcelona to lower their bid because they think two of their kids cost 6,000,000 euros when those kids aren't even Barcelona players anymore?
Those transfers were completely independant of any potential Cesc transfer. I really wish Barcelona would stop looking for shortcuts and stop with their faulty logic.

I have a feeling Madrid only entered the bidding war to make sure Barcelona pays an exorbitant amount for Cesc
I really doubt Florentino would even want Fab

Hardly a credible link. The Madrid rumor is just invented by media to make the transfer more interesting as everyone is already bored of the will he won't he saga.
