They get 200m+ alone from Qatar tourism authority.

150-200 mil a year by QTA for PSG... UEFA approved it for the 2012-2013 season (which as 200 mil for QTA) so it's a done deal. There was a hearing about it at UEFA with PSG back in Oct/Nov and nothing came of it.

Re: Deloitte: Highest Earning Clubs
PSG's earnings would be paltry if not for this massive sponsorship deal.Basically they make up about exactly half of their total revenue.

To be safe from FFP thereby enabling them to continue spending ludicrous amounts in the market.
Not that hard to figure out

Re: Deloitte: Highest Earning Clubs
That's not true. They'd be at 200 mil for the 2012/2103 season.... but that contract would not be 0 even if it wasn't QTA. 50 mil per season is reasonable there; so the total would be 250 mil. Given that the shirt sponsorship expired and they signed Nike at 30 mil per season starting 2013/2014 and they're going to get the Parc des Princes sponsored for something rumored around 100 mil a season (Apple being the rumored sponsor)... You're probably going to see revenue jump to 500+ mil in the next 6 months.S wrote:PSG's earnings would be paltry if not for this massive sponsorship deal.Basically they make up about exactly half of their total revenue.

Look up at the image i posted, genius.
Exactly they were going to earn about 200m which is still paltry compared to what they spend and would've probably been at risk in terms FFP if not for this massive sponsorship deal.
But anyway its nice to see them making more sponsorship deals.Either ways we all know its beneficial for clubs like OM

Re: Deloitte: Highest Earning Clubs
Yeah like that deal would be 0 as opposed to 200 mil A reasonable number for global image rights for a top club is 50-75 mil porbably. So that would put them at 250-275 mil.
And having elite clubs help elevate leagues and competing teams... Man U, Chelsea and Man City did it for the EPL and forced Arsenal, Liverpool, etc. to spend in order to compete. You have Real Madrid and Barca in La Liga. Bayern in Bundi. Another key component is that the other teams in the league play these elite clubs regularly... so they get experience in playing a top side so that they're not overwhelmed in European play. That has been a missing ingredient in Ligue 1 too. Over time, having elite clubs will naturally pull the league up overall.
Thanks for playing S. Always a pleasure... Envious and hateful as always because Serie A clubs are irrelevant right now and can't keep their players How is that Pogba extension that was signed a year ago coming

PSG have money being handed to them while others earn it through success on the pitch. Not anything to be bitter about obviously.
Gonna be funny when PSG tops this list in the next few years with more dodgy sponsorships although their brand will never ever be as big as a Madrid,a Barca or a United.

To put it simply, higher costs. Rent of San Siro+higher wage bill than Cardiff.

Actually wages have vastly improved. We have a wage cap of 4 million. Kaka, Balotelli and Mexes ( ) earn 4 million so from that list Mexes is getting much more than he deserves. The main problem is the vast size of the squad. No one except the youth players get below 1 million so you have dead weight like Nocerino, Muntari, Zaccardo and friends sucking up a huge chunk of our finances. This is also the reason we have not made more moves in the transfer market. Galliani and Seedorf both said the squad is too big and we need to sell to buy.

Re: Deloitte: Highest Earning Clubs
Milan earns almost twice as Atletico yet they cant put a decent team together, how is that even possible.
Re: Deloitte: Highest Earning Clubs
Yeah... because Man U was such a brand in the 90s.S wrote:PSG have money being handed to them while others earn it through success on the pitch. Not anything to be bitter about obviously.

Money attracts money and stars/sexy entertainment attracts fans. That's how you build and maintain a brand. There's nothing to hate. How do you think Madrid, Milan, Juve, etc. created their brands? Because their owners were handsome and the jerseys fashionable??? The owners of those clubs spent big time and outspent everyone.
The only problem you and many others that follow clubs with "old world" team owners is that your teams can't compete anymore since the ownership is no longer among the most wealthy. You had no problems when your ownership could outspend anyone.... as Juve did for many years. And, no, it wasn't organically driven by club revenue. Giovanni Agnelli was one of the richest men in the world and spent lavishly to buy players.
Well, now the richest people in the world are in the US, Russia, Asia and in certain places of the Middle East. Europe has been slow to adapt to the changes in the world. Doesn't mean Europe won't become the wealthiest again in the future... history is cyclical. Just a fact that people need to deal with.

Ofcourse it was.Always is and will be and bigger than PSG for sure no matter how many stars they buy and sponsorship deals they keep making. They wont ever surpass Man U's brand.

Those clubs have been successful throughout their history and with a large fan following all over the country.Agnelli's have been controlling Juve for over a century almost. They didnt hit the jackpot overnight you know.

No.I have no problem at all with PSG splashing crazy amounts to buy players but within the realms of FFP.I have every reason to be livid here because its literally money being handed to them and not earned.PSG have basically made a mockery of it.Even City havent done a dodgy deal like this.
Also Juve were always Top 3 in the Deloitte money league right from the 90s to the early 2000s.Thats money earned through success, not handed to them.
If FFP were to be introduced in the 90s,i'm sure Italian clubs would've done everything to comply to it.

Thats one way to look at it.Its more to do with foreign owners attracted to the allure of football as it got more and more commercialized,Champions league in particular so they want to have their own toys too now.
