Predict the Premier League Top 4
1/2 Chelsea/Man City: Still undecided between these two. Both have amazing home records and slightly above average away from home. I think City's tough fixture list might end up slowing them down (Chelsea (H), Spurs (A), Man Utd (A), Liverpool (A), Everton (A) & Arsenal (A). Thing is, should they get knocked out early by Barca in the next CL round they can fully focus on the PL unlike Chelsea. Think it might come down to the managers at the end of the day. One's a winner everywhere he's been while the other is a perennial loser.
3: Arsenal: They have been immense this season, have by far the best collection of midfielders in the League, joint best defense with Chelsea and they've developed a Mourinho-esque ability to grind out wins but I feel their lack of quality strikers and brutal March fixture list will end up costing them. (Bayern Munich (A), Spurs (A), Chelsea (A), Man City (H), Everton (A) )
4: Liverpool/Man Utd: Liverpool have a piss easy schedule in the 2nd half of the season after playing City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle & Everton all away from home in the 1st. They have the best player in the League and the most in form striker over the last year or so paired with him. Their terrible defense & Rodgers continuous struggle to pair together Sturridge and Suarez together in a balanced team might end up costing them but it'll be close.
Man U on the other hand are only 6 points behind Liverpool at the moment. I have them this high up because I'm expecting their three best players to return fairly soon. Nani, Rooney and RVP in place of Young, Valencia and Welbeck...they're probably 2 up in the first half today.
-----------------------------
6: Spurs: Shit team. No idea how they keep winning, can't wait for the yearly late season collapse especially with the Europa League returning.
7: Everton: They'll get exposed soon enough. The current version of the 08-09 Aston Villa.
3: Arsenal: They have been immense this season, have by far the best collection of midfielders in the League, joint best defense with Chelsea and they've developed a Mourinho-esque ability to grind out wins but I feel their lack of quality strikers and brutal March fixture list will end up costing them. I would be fuming if we were given that sort of schedule. It's almost unfair.

U still mad Newcastle have nothing to play for? I'd rather be in a relegation battle than the position you're in.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Man Yoo even being discussed in this thread

United have missed their best player for half of the season. They still have a chance.
Who could have predicted Spurs would be level on points with Liverpool after the tonking they gave them at WHL?
RVP
Januzaj Roonay Nani
Class front four imo.

Been predicting Chelsea's title win since before the season started. City are invincible at home yet look half the team away. Arsenal lack balance in key areas to push all the way, winter reinforcements necessary. Everton in fine momentum with a resolute system. Liverpool not good enough.

I'm not mad as i expected it before the season started lol.
But considering how much of a negative loser Moyes is i don't see it as a given that they suddenly improve.
Also Nani playing

Re: Predict the Premier League Top 4
Looks like other fans have more faith in us then ourselves, don't think it will be easy, our squad is so thin and might be an issue.
1,2 and 3 will be the current top 3, who knows in what order.
Spurs , everton and pool will fight out for 4th. Spurs keep winning and everton seem to have a great structure and system in place so they can keep up the race, we need to take advantage of our home matches in the second half to have a chance.

Re: Predict the Premier League Top 4
Liverpool will go a long way in deciding the title, maybe not for themselves but they have a much easier run-in combined with the facts that they're not in Europe and Luis Suarez is dominating the bottom 13 clubs.
If we sign a striker to reinforce our ranks I think we can win it. But we've got an extremely difficult cluster of games.
1. Arsenal
2. City
3. Chelsea
4. Liverpool

Everton will start to fade post March because of fitness reasons. They lack depth, and have a some-what ageing squad. They'll need to bring in this window.
If Rodgers stop with all these experimentations and decides to stop mucking around, we'll finish in the top 4. We've lost out on 10+ points because of him this season. If he continues to f*ck around we won't get a CL spot. And then we're struggle to finish top 6 again, but other teams have better squads than we do and we'll lose Suarez.

We're going to get run over. We can't play that many high intensity games in succession against quality teams, by the end of it we will probably be in despair, mentally broken.
This is a really disgraceful fixture list, how can anyone deal with that

Re: Predict the Premier League Top 4
City
Arsenal
Chelsea
...
The fourth spot is looking to be such a hard-fought battle.
Everton play West Brom tonight, last season under Moyes I'd have said it's a draw, now I think Everton will go there and win. Then in the next gameweek it's the Murderside, no, Suicide, no, Merseyside derby which is a huge six-pointer.
Adebayor is back as Tottenham's first-choice striker to lead their surge under a new manager in his first managerial job, you couldn't have made that up in August.
If United splash the cash on a player or two now in January, they might have a chance still, otherwise I don't think so.
