I have not watched Eusébio play but my father says great things about him. He was also a free man who never got into FIFA's politics and didn't let his ties cloud his judgements. Being of old school mentality, he promoted playing football with beauty as opposed to embracing its physicality.

On my quest to see legends of the game, he was one of my personal favourites. A player before his time, suited to the modern era...unbelievable player and his legacy speaks for itself.

One of the best players I ever seen.

Wow, very sad news. Sad

Obviously never saw him outside clips on the internet and the stories from parents who saw him during his illustrious career.

As well as his accomplishments clearly speaking for themselves, very sad to lose another all time great.

even though I was not born I will have always a regret about him , he was bought by Inter in 1966 but after North Corea-Italy 1-0 (WC 1966 , and Italy elimintaed ) FIGC decided closing of borders to foreign players and therefore 'the contract was invalidated Sad
