Re: Worst excuse of all time
the reason player "x" been called flop at club "a" is because coach "y" dont like him, played him in the winger position although he was played great in the middle of the pitch before, as a sub, in one season only

Re: Worst excuse of all time
The worst IMO is when people blame players that didn't even play for bad performances of the team in certain games. I remember people being pissed about Arshavin and Squillaci a couple of years ago during a poor run of form for us when neither of them was playing at all, with the exception of short substitute appearances.
The argument was that we'll never win anything with players like that on our bench, but that's not their fault, and it's only scapegoating the criticisms that could have been leveled at the players who did play and weren't good enough either, but whom were more beloved by the fan base at the time.

Re: Worst excuse of all time
Pochettino's excuse was pretty funny..
Pochettino wrote: Pochettino insisted he was only seeking the "same treatment" as other clubs.
"We don't want to be judged by the young, handsome players that we have. We don't want to be judged in that sense," he said.
"We want to be judged in the same manner, being judged by the same rigour, in the same way that all other clubs are. We just want it to be fair, basically."

Following a 4th round League Cup defeat to Man City. At this point we'd played 9 PL games and 3 in the League Cup. Mathieu Debuchy was the only player to feature in all 14 games.

chad4401 wrote:some fans need to realize fifa and real life is different and some of these so called excuses are legit reasons, why doesn't rvp and rooney play together every match and score 40 each, or why didn't ibra and messi work out? anyone think cr-suarez-bale gonna score 120+ goals is deluded cause some has to sacrifice their output.
So youd rather have cr sacrifice his output? because you dont like him.

Not quite..... there's a pardew excuses thread on a newcastle forum.
Ones that include clubs are spying on us so we are boarding up the training ground, Senegal making us lose, Nigeria being against us and Notting Hill Carnival made us lose.

Nah i'm just a mere peasant poster
@harhar....
Striker Papiss Cisse was also absent from the squad after the Senegal Football Association threatened to invoke a Fifa ruling that would see the player suspended if he featured in the game.
The governing body failed to receive the appropriate medical records from Newcastle following his absence from international duty due to injury and Pardew admitted the uncertainty over Cisse's availability affected his preparation for the game.
"We kept being promised that the decision would be overturned and that Senegal were going to let Papiss play," Pardew told reporters in his post-match press conference.
"We kept waiting and waiting and it was about 1.40pm when we finally found out that wouldn't happen.
"So it did affect our preparation and him missing today was a blow to us. We didn't do anything wrong and he should have played its all Senegal FA's fault we lost today".
