That was never an excuse, just a desperate defense

I hope Isla recovers soon from his injury..
As mush as I like Licht,Isla is simply going to be a beast in the 3-5-2..
It is essentially going to be a 5 man midfield in my books..We're slowly but steadily building from the back to put things into perspective and now all we need is the cherry on the cake(A top forward)
An impenetrable defense backed up by a world class midfield..We're going to be hard to beat next season
though the concern as of now is a goal-scorer which i hope would be eventually addressed.

Isla definitely has a higher ceiling than Lichtsteiner, but Isla can also play on the left which is where I would like to see him unless, somehow, Kolarov is signed

In all my time on GL I have never understood why you always capitalise names like JUVENTUS
And my ideal move would be Balotelli, Italian, young and potential out of this world. His attitude doesn't even put me off because I know the media put it out of perspective, when there was racism concerns prior to Euro 2012, he was the only black player to say he would walk off, after that comment, my respect for him is unmeasurable.
However, the only thing that puts me off is when he wore a Milan shirt when he played for Inter...

With both Giovinco and Vucinic plus hopefully a big name CF, im hoping we revert bacj to the 433, with Isla on the left. Lichsteiner had an excellent season and only faded when he was sxhausted by the end of the season for playing for almost evdry game. I dont see any reason for benching him. Either way though, even if we dont get a big name CF and stick with ths 352, i wanna see Lichsteiner still start, with Isla pushed out to the left. I think this would be best. Something like:
--Buffon--
--Barzagli-- --Bonucci-- --Chiellini--
--Lichsteiner-- --Vidal-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio-- --Isla--
--Giovinco-- --Vucinic--
And/or
--Buffon--
--Lichsteiner-- --Barzagli-- --Chiellini-- --Isla--
--Vidal-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio--
--Giovinco-- --Matri/New CF-- --Vucinic--
--Barzagli-- --Bonucci-- --Chiellini--
--Lichsteiner-- --Vidal-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio-- --Isla--
--Giovinco-- --Vucinic--
And/or
--Buffon--
--Lichsteiner-- --Barzagli-- --Chiellini-- --Isla--
--Vidal-- --Pirlo-- --Marchisio--
--Giovinco-- --Matri/New CF-- --Vucinic--

Licht and PDC in a 4-3-3
Isla and PDC/New WB in a 3-5-2
I reckon we'll go with the 3-5-2 module against top teams in CL
We're in the market for a LWB and apparently we're serious about Adriano of Barca. He would seriously be a BOSS addition ,extremely good attacking wise as well as very good tactically as well..for 5-6m would be a great signing.

ASAMOAH
Remember when we were about to sign him, I said this dude is world class, as a Ghanaian, I watch him play for the Black Stars and he is just class, some fool [forgot his name] jumped in and said he was "disappointed in the signing of Asamoah and that he was mediocre as f**k",
I ask all who doubted him do you still doubt the kid anymore? He and Vucinic have been our best players so far this season.
I couldn't have me more prouder to come from G H A N A
My personal notes about today's game:
- our back looked shaky and rusty without Asamoah
- De Ceglie sucks goat balls, he must only play Coppa Italia
- Matri is sh*t as f**k {empty net? we might as well bring Immobile back to be 3rd striker]
- Giacherini has so much soul an passion, a very good player to have in your team, doesn't complain about starting a game yet he is a class act when given the chance.
- still disappointed we haven't given Pogba a chance yet, he needs to be given a run
- was hoping to see Bendtner but its all good maybe on our home game next week.
- we are simply the best team in Serie A right now [hah! its feels good to be able to say it again like we used to be and watch Inter and Milan crumble every single time ]
- Carrera is doing an amazing job.
- with the right players 5-3-2 formation is a beast.
- Vidal is the midfield's key engine, not Marchisio, not Pirlo though they are impressive.
- Giovinco is a class player, just needs to work on his finishing aspect, at times watching him in the game felt like using him in the fifa 13 demo
- not sure if Caceres is just recovering from injury, sucks at RB or something, but he totally sucked today, no words to mince.
all in all am hoping for a great game at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday [I actually called off work just to be able to watch the game ]

I cant wait to see Isla in the mix too...he is a great player! Giovinco is gettin better and better but we need to see Pogba! Caceres should have played in the back 3 today and maybe Isla given a run out for RWB! Lucio should be played as well as the back 3 looks fatigued!

yes I believe Caceres is not built for the RB position, yes maybe Isla would be good down there, but I expected Isla to start ahead of PDC [sorry to say but PDC has no future, 0 talent, not sure but he belongs to the likes of Siena]

Caceres has put in many great performances for Juventus as a RWB
I think it's just because he is coming off his injury personally

That's what now, 2 goals and 2 assists from 4 games as a wing-back? Incredible player.
Disagree with you about the midfield though. It's the MVP trio as a whole that makes the midfield tick. When one of them's gone it doesn't work as well.

Re: - Kojo| Kwadwo Asamoah #22
The wide play from Juventus this season has been an incredible surprise
Lichtsteiner and Asamoah making these advanced runs each game opens it up for Giovinco and Vucinic (Giovinco is getting better with each game I feel). It's really great to see.
3 penalties won in 3 games
2 of them from the wingbacks
1 from a striker
Last season Juventus had 3-4 penalties throughout the whole season
I think, right now, we are seeing a much more direct approach from Juventus and it is resulting in penalty shouts. More runs deep into the box from the wingbacks especially.

Juve want Ghana to release Asamoah
Juventus are hoping to have Kwadwo Asamoah back from the African Cup of Nations for the clash with Celtic in the Champions League.
The 24-year-old was part of the Ghana side that lost to Burkina Faso on Wednesday evening in the semi-finals of the competition.
But the Black Stars still have one more game to play in South Africa, as they face Mali in the third-place play-off in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
According to Gazzetta dell Sport though, the Bianconeri are pressing the Ghana Football Association not to play the midfielder as they want him back for the trip to Glasgow.
Juve travel to Celtic Park to play Neil Lennon's men on Tuesday February 12.

It's not disrespect. Juve wants its player back for the biggest game of the year at this point of the season rather than Ghana risking him in a consolation game. I think it's already ridiculous that AFCon doesn't try to schedule it's tournament during the summer. Most of the other confederations are able to do it.

its the rainy/wet season in the summer normally in most parts of Africa, so Jan/Feb [dry season] is the best time for the tourney....
and still he owes it to Ghana consolation or not, FIFA wills it and Juve knows that so its equal to a disrespect to Ghana...

The man should put the country of his birth first...
@Juventude put yourself in his position...
would you play a match for the US to ensure you bring home a medal, even if a bronze or go to your club?
