No but it means that any injury is unlikely, We have available options to replace him and changing a formation isn't the worst thing in the world, I know you hate the 4-3-3 for some strange reason but it isn't the end of the world, only having Oscar as a WC AM.

Bring back Piazon (Eff of Salah). Sign Zouma (10m) and Shaw(20-25m).

Sign a CF in the summer and try to integrate Piazon into the first team.

Then I may be able to sleep knowing what we're doing.

Never could I have imagined we'd live to see the day that the club under the tutelage of Mr. A would willfully and knowingly strengthen a direct rival.

Yes, they are. One poor season doesn't change that. They're only finishing 4th and signing a few reinforcements over the summer away from turning right back into title challengers again. Yet here you are advocating selling them a player that would be the spring-board to both those objectives.

You're saying it's okay because they aren't a threat to us this season. If your outlook is that myopic, fine. I'm saying them finishing out of a CL place, a scenario that would benefit us well into the future, is a huge possibility this season. Giving them Mata helps them considerably to avoid that. How does that make any of this better, MERELY because they can't win the title this season?

What if, if we don't give them Mata this Winter then they end up buying someone better in the future from aboard? If they can't sign someone from the EPL, then they can just attract someone from aboard. You can predict whatever you like for the future.

Also, selling Mata to Man Utd is going to hurt Man City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool just as much as it will hurt us in the long run. We do not compete for the title with only one team (Man Utd).
