It's Schurrle and Willian all over again. Just as with over the summer when they wouldn't spend £50m on Falcao or Cavani but were more than happy to shell out 25 on Schurrle and 30 on Willian, they'd rather sign average £15m player + average £15m player rather than spending the whole 30 on someone of actual quality.

Falcao/Cavani + Matic for 90m is better than Schurrle + Willian + Eto'o + Guarin + Zouma for 80m
