Juve to take legal action following violence
Juventus have confirmed that they will take legal action following ‘acts of serious vandalism’ during their game with Napoli.
The Bianconeri have revealed that they will look to start proceedings as soon as possible after fans’ were reportedly seen throwing dangerous objects, injuring four Juve supporters.
Juventus Football Club announces that it has initiated legal proceedings with the Public Prosecutor's Office of Turin against persons unknown, following events that occurred at Juventus Stadium during the Napoli match on 10 November 2013,” the statement read.
“Serious acts of vandalism were registered in the visitors' section during the game, with dangerous objects repeatedly thrown towards the Tribuna Est and Tribuna Nord (East and North Stands), which were occupied by Juventus supporters.
“Specifically, 74 seats were destroyed, which must now be completely replaced. Moreover, as reported by members of the FIGC Prosecutor's Office who were pitchside during the game, Napoli supporters threw objects towards the two adjacent sections on a number of occasions, before, during and after the game, and set off five powerful firecrackers. This resulted in serious problems of public order and made it necessary to relocate approximately 300 fans in each section, so as to move them out of range of the objects being hurled.
“Four Juventus supporters were injured as a result of said acts and required medical treatment. Furthermore, a girl was hit in the head by a handle, probably torn off one of the doors in the visitors' section.”
