You might wanna keep quiet considering the amount of Nesta gifs which are around.
Never said he'd be crap, just that teams were a lot more organised back then than they are now.

@freeza
Not sure if serious. Anyway from your age, you were born during R9s peak years so what do you know. Poor you.

I wish. What I wouldn't give to be 4 years younger
Also, if you're anything older than 13, your posts certainly don't do anything to support that claim.
Also, if you think I was serious, you'd better get your head checked

Well, tbh I was more of Vieri supporter. He was a much greater player for us, and injuries didn't derail his career.

'They wouldn't touch Messi' lmao, sit down before you give me an aneurysm. 37 yr old Nesta disposed him at the nearest job centre, Bonera and Anotnini and co held him at bay at the San Siro ffs
If that fake red card wasn't given to Nesta at the Nou, things might've been very different

This opinion is unpopular because it's simply plain wrong.
It's hard to comment on something like that because of course "overrated" means different things to different people. And there are people who do overrate him, like the guy awhile back who said he's best player in the world. So it's difficult to say for sure that Valk is wrong.
For the most part though yes, people who think Iniesta 'isn't all that' or whatever are off their rocker.

Come again? Bruh, Iniesta is probably the most genuinely harmless person - not footballer, but person - on the planet. Like a human puppy. Seriously, wth bruh?!

Lol i think viva meant xavi or so i hope anyways. Iniesta is like the only one i respect in that team. The only guy who stayed classy during the Mou haydays. Iniesta isnt only liked by Barca fans but the rest of Spain too

Nesta landed a great tackle on Messi but my word, people still celebrating 1 tackle? He gets tackled successfully every random game - like every footballer - but because it was Nesta who made the (admittedly very beautiful) tackle it's some sort of lifetime achievement? Pls.

RealGunner wrote:He isn't a bad defender or a player. He has 5 bad matches out of 20 which goes for most CBs.
Maybe he would have been less hyped when the likes of Nesta, Maldini etc were in their prime and Ramos was also in that era
But for this era he has been one of the top CBs. Maybe not top 5 but at least top 100
im sorry but no ramos is horrible, gets a free pass because he is hyped nothing more, a lesser player would be kicked out the club, if they did 1/2 the mistakes ramos produce in 3 games a lone, much less a season.

He or no one is going to look good when the midfield above him is modric- kroos- James. That's 3 former 10s. When we had a much better xabi- modric-Di Maria as defensive presence he looked just fine. Mind you that midfield is still less defensive than all the midfields of entire Europe.VivaStPauli wrote:Yeah I agree, Ramos is an awesome motivator, always in it with a 100% of his heart's blood.
But boy is he shit at defending, and frankly, every time I watch him in an important match, I'm baffled by how he isn't getting a red in the first 25 minutes, that's star power for you.
Especially at the WC and against Bayern recently, he should've been sent off. Those are the matches I had in mind when I said less famous players would've been sent off.
No he did nothing wrong in that match. You are simply saying for the sake of saying.
Re: The unpopular opinion thread
Arsene Wenger is one of the greatest managers of all time. A truly unique personality. People dismiss him due to not having a great collection of trophies specially CL but as a manager he turned Arsenal from a nothing club into a relevant club.
Football will miss him when he retires, not just Arsenal.

While i agree with you in general, that is just plain wrong brah. Outside of Wenger you are still the most successful club in England outside of Liverpool and Man Yoo.

Re: The unpopular opinion thread
Here's an unpopular opinion:
If supporters of a club want to change club allegiances it should be acceptable and not be mocked ("gloryhunter"). For example if someone fell in love with Milan mid 2000s when they were playing beautiful football with Maldini, Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf, Pippo etc. why should they be forced to support the current shower of shit that came through years of mismanagement? If the current state of Milan has absolutely nothing to do with what people fell in love with years ago then it's fine to say goodbye. The self-inflicted law ("you support a club and not players", "you can change your wife but not your football club" etc.) is hilariously stupid. Players, coaches, presidents change clubs all the time and so should fans if they want.

I know but most of our glory days were during the Herbert Chapman era in the 50s lol.
