Moggi "Tevez is not a champion

The ex-Bianconeri official is full of praise for the forward's industry and selflessness but he does not feel that the 29-year-old is a natural goalscorer

Former Juventus director Luciano Moggi says Carlos Tevez is a "good player", but feels the Argentine is not capable of deciding games on his own.

The Bianconeri signed the forward from Manchester City this summer and the No.10 has enjoyed a positive start to his career in Turin, having already racked up two goals in three Serie A appearances.

However, Tevez failed to net in the midweek Champions League draw with Copenhagen, a game that Moggi feels proved that the ex-West Ham man is not the natural goalscorer that Juve have been craving for so many years.

"This is a moment in which they are not running as they should," the Monticiano native wrote in Libero. "They do not sting, do not hurt the opponent.

"But if the attack does not score or makes mistakes, the blame should not be put on Tevez, who is a support striker.

"He wears himself out for his team-mates in attack, looking for space for himself and others.

"And if he does not shoot on goal or makes a mistake in front of the opposition goalkeeper, it is down to the fact that he does not have those particular characteristics of a striker.

"He is a good player, but is certainly not one of those champions who can win games on his own."

Tevez, who has not been capped by Argentina since 2011, joined Juventus for an initial fee of €9 million.

so laughing at Moggi's words became alla Sciacca

Then who is a champion Moggi? Your mom?

I read the whole article and Moggi seems pretty much correct in all his words. Not sure what he said that is to be laughed at.

Tevez is not a champion striker like Cavani, Ibra, Falcao, Balotelli or Suarez. He is not like Higuain either. He is a hard working support striker who can also play as a CF, but he is not at the level of the players I mentioned and that is why he doesn't play for Argentina right now and went for such a low transfer fee.

If Tevez can play like we all know he can then he will be a great addition to our team and he fits Conte's tactics perfectly. However, if we are to challenge for European trophies then we will need an upgrade to Vucincic.

Too bad we didn't get Jojo. He would have been perfect with Tevez. Hopefully we open the bank next year for a world class striker. Suarez, Jojo or even Pato would fit the bill.

Of course we have the Lion King roaring on the bench ready to go. Who knows maybe he comes out and plays beautiful music with Tevez. He may be the guy. I guess we'll find out soon enough. Unless of course Conte is completely trolling us and never plays him...

I am nto saying that laughing at moggi's words is alla sciacca but supporting him I thought u are supporting him O.o
