Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
With more flair and goal scoring potential but less drive and physical strength.
You have to admire the courage, desire to come back from a leg break and be even better than he previously was. Fair play to Wenger as well, he stuck with him even when the c**ts at his own club were booing and abusing him in his worst form but he stuck with it and now those morons are cheering the most. You also have to take into account Gary Speed's heartbreaking death as well as his demotion as Captain of Wales, must have done a number on his psyche.
I thought he was outstanding in the run in last season alongside Arteta but he's been even better this season. His dribbling has improved, he's getting into more goal scoring positions, his defending has come leaps and bounds, his engine has always been immense but he's using his freak stamina to run games now. Not going to kneejerk with his goal scoring exploits until the season over as I'm not sure it isn't in fluke with his confidence sky high at the moment.
Think his progression as a player bodes well for Wilshere who's completely overrated at the moment but still has time to improve and fine tune his game, especially after being out for so long with his injury.
Top 2 CM in the League at the moment only behind Yaya Toure. Until Oscar finally plays there anyway

So like Keane, but without all the stuff that Keane had and with things Keane didnt.
Do you just say stuff for the fun of it?

Yaya is a cancer in City's midfield. City wil become relevant again the moment a manager dares to drop Yaya.
but yea, Ramsey is PL's best midfielder based on form now.

Both are complete midfielders with the stamina to cover long distances for 90 minutes. Ramsey is just the offensive version of Keane. The Franchise wrote:So like Keane, but without all the stuff that Keane had and with things Keane didnt.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Please stop saying silly stuff then.
I mean, you cant come with these dramatic statements and not expect someone as pedantic as me not to question them.
Anyway, Keane comparisons aside, Rambo is obviously very talented. It took another year post broken leg recovery (which sounds to me about right) and he is back now.
No idea how he going to fit in with Wilshere when he gets back to himself (he will) and Ozil, because those 3 wont work together vs everyone.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Yaya has been meh for over a year.
Because he raped us when we layed down and took it don't mean anything.
Aside from that he's struggled.
As for Ramsey, i have been hyping for over 6 months absolutely fantastic B2B midfielder who is adding goals to his game now.
I wouldn't compare him to Keane though, Rob Lee or Gary Speed are more apt comparisons.

Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing and Cesc's replacement before the injury ?

I think Ramsey has as much drive and determination as Keane. Probably only lacks in physical strength. He isn't as vocal as Keane though. Thank God.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
I am a firm believer of using players depending on the opposition you face. Wenger allowed Wilshere to play upfront with Ozil and they exchanged positions at times while Rambo did what he did best, leaving a lot of the defensive burden to Flamini. It did well, not perfectly, but well. But, as you said, you can't use them against all oppositions. The Franchise wrote:

I think it is good though, because it gives them a chance to rest while bringing the other players to show their skills. All of them can't play great against all oppositions. The only player who seems to be able to do that is Messi.

Welcome to the club Gil.
If anyone remembers: http://www.goallegacy.net/t19777p18-arsenal-0-0-chelsea-that-was-a-bit-rubbish-wasn-t-it?theme_id
I'm one of the true believers of Ramsey's talent and I'm glad he has gotten through the mental challenge the Arsenal fans put on him and now is proving himself.
Actually proud of how he got through that, if it weren't for Wenger I think he would have left.

His return and surpassing his pre tragic injury form is a testament to his dedication and perseverance. Also to Wenger finally playing him in the correct position and not at RW or CAM where he played woefully, but out of necessity.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Psychologically, it was really up and down from him. He played really well against us when he came back from injury, even scoring a goal. Had good performances against England and Chelsea (5-3, I think) in the past. Really started to become better second half of last season, and now he's in the form of his life.
I actually suggested him as a midfielder that would fit our system well during the summer, not that I thought he would come but who would of definitely suited us.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Wasn't talking about Ramsey, more that its quite funny for a club to announce a move and it doesn't happen.
Clubs don't usually say a word on their official site until its 100% done.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Someone was overly excited I presume
PS: That happened with Carew and Inter as well but at least they mentioned 'subject to a medical' in their website.
I think he would have started for United earlier than he did with Arsenal. Definitely one of Britain's top talents and he seems to be on a roll again.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
Wilshere will rotate with Ramsey, Cazorla, Arteta and Ozil due to his versatility until he can find a proper position.
Still think he can become a controller in the mould of Pirlo and Alonso etc. But he'll need to limit those forays forward and his general defending before that happens.

Re: Aaron Ramsey Appreciation Thread
I do not agree with Gil's somewhat miscued comparison to Roy Keane. Keano was more of a dominant player whose presence is only replicated by players such as De Rossi, Vidal, Schweinsteiger, Toure etc or anyone else in similar mould.
Ramsey excels in his all-rounded abilities to which are dictated depending on his positionals, his role, his climate of situation along with the teams current situation. Since Ramsey finally found his role, he has reminded me closer to (in-form) Marchisio (Ramsey far better goalscorer, Claudio better passer) and of course the closest, Marco Tardelli. A near replica of Tardelli in many manners and characteristics. A Frank Lampard comparison can be made yet he has not reached the status of creativity to which Lamps regularly replicates.
Comparisons aside, it is encouraging to see that the Welshman has found a role rather than previous attempting roles to which he simply was not. Full credit goes to Wenger in staying firm in his faith, to which Ramsey was the butt of criticism and negative scrutiny.
Quite simply has been Arsenal's finest player this season.

Ramsey would have been wasted at United. Fergie would stick him on the wing, be baffled as to why he's flopping and end up on loan somewhere in the Championship
