Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
Alex i think once you made a mistake by saying "sell messi". now you try hard to prove your point. Learn to admit mistakes dont be like a 7 years old boy. I feel like you want to lick Messi's ass right now (especially after his last show) but your silly and childish pride doesnt allow it
Messi was at his best in important games. Vs city psg bayern a.madrid a.bilbao.
Why you want Messi at his best against Deportivo or Eibar? This is childish argument. And you dont know if he will work hard next season? Why think so much? This is just obsession to justify your "once made" mistake

The funny thing is that the Alex is saying we should sell Messi because we don't know if he will work hard next season, while at the same time defending Alves renewal, who before fighting for a new contract was playing horrible and even admitted that he was unprofessional last season, so we can't really know if he will play well and be professional next season...

What a great goal that is. Being overlooked because of Messis incredible solo run.

Yeah. 500m for Messi after taxes + 20m/year in wages! He's not affordable.

They have the best player already in Hazard.
Jokes aside, the tax issue is a pretty big problem Messi and his father are facing

Furious Lionel Messi rejects MotM Award
Mirror wrote:Lionel Messi declined the Man of the Match award after Argentina threw away a 2-0 lead in their Copa America opener against Paraguay.
The Barcelona star, who scored his country's second on Saturday night, was so furious at the tournament favourites slipping up that he turned down the prize from CONMEBOL.
It was instead given to Paraguay forward Nelson Haedo Valdez, scorer of the Albirroja's first goal.
Sources inside the South American federation have confirmed to a number of outlets that Messi won't be fined, as he would have been for missing a press conference.
Messi told reporters in the mixed zone on Saturday night: "We were at fault in that we should have had more of the ball in the second half and controlled the match, not them.
"It’s maddening to go winning 2-0 and finish with a draw.
"We should have slowed the match down when they were coming at us.
"Now we have to think about Uruguay and we know we must win. There’s a lot to improve and this is only the first match, now we’ve got to be calmer than ever."
He leads Argentina into battle again late on Tuesday night as Argentina face Uruguay needing a win to keep their chances of topping Group B alive.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
i see..i was completely surprised to see that paraguay player winning it when he did absolutely nothing other than scoring the goal. even Paraguay keeper was better than him.
Anyway, Messi must be fed up with winning personal awards under NT when he desperately wants a Team glory. He better takes charge of NT team, they cant win anything under Tata, the Pekerman 2015, who subs best performaer Pastore for Tevez while keep on playing di maria .

He should have accepted the award to get rid of criticism. He did his job it was not his fault they slipped from 2-0 to 2-2

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
yeah...it was kind of silly to not accept it. Also it has put the entire team under pressure before next game. So as a captain he should not do that, no matter what.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
He first talks about intensity in football games. He defines intensity as running more kms in long runs and fast speed. He then goes on to relativize intensity saying that Borussia Dortmund, the most intense team in Bundesliga, beat them in a game Dortmund was less intense, while Bayern beat them 0-3 in the second leg running much less, but doing everything better. Then says that people in Germany said Werder lost intensity because Bayern scored 13 on Werder in 2 games, but the stats show Werder ran a lot with great intensity.
He then talks about Bayern - Barça, mentioning the intensity was even in the two legs. He metions that Messi was criticized last season because he ran 8 km in one game (Atletico). He then looked what Messi runs, and saw that Messi ran also 8 km against Bayern at home, killing them. Is it important to run or not?
He then mentions that Messi can play 55 games in a row because he plays like his body tells him how to play and physical coaches should respect that. Instead of tying to bring his oxygen consumption from 12 to 14, they should respect that because he is faster with the ball than some players without it, so you should respect that. He is a player that sometimes plays walking because his body invites him to do so, and he takes advantadge of it by walking, stopping, looking at the game.... and predicting what will happen in 30 seconds while the rest still have no idea.
He finishes saying: A player that every team in the world double or triple mark, that he has scored 400 goals, we want to change his oxygen consumption because someone said he ran 8 or 9 km? We are crazy (to do that).

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
You don't need no physical coaches to realize that, just read my post history like a religion for now on. Football is a game of quality, not a game of distance running, quality decides the results, not how far you ran. Messi produces so much more with the ball in relation so you don't want to make him chase lost causes, like some others do to show that they care.
Messi is easily the most intelligent footballer in history, and that's why he's the only forward to play every league and cl game in a treble winning season. The fact that he doesn't need substition is good for Barca as they can strengthen other areas instead every game.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
Not to burst your buble, but although many of us already said this (I've been saying this before you even joined this forum btw), I trust much more the word of a world-class physical coach who has worked and collected physical data on Messi than mine or your opinions.

Re: 'The Messiah' - Lionel Messi V.2
That didnt tell me anything, im sorry to say.
Who here complained that Messi doesnt run great distances? Nobody.
The complaints are what kinds of movements he makes and when.
He can run as little distance as he wants, I dont care..however again, if an opponent is standing 3m from him he could do more than standing and watching him.
Not a scientist in the world can explain to me why it makes sense he can sprint 30 times with the ball, but not half that number without it.
His body invites him to walk? Thats called lazy where im from
