Juventus Demand £7m for Everton Target Luca Marrone
Everton have been told by Serie A champions Juventus that they must pay at least £7million if they want any chance of getting their number one target Luca Marrone, following their unsuccessful season-long loan bid according to talkSPORT.
The Italian giants have reiterated their desire to keep Marrone this season, and a loan move is not something they consider beneficial. Juve want a permanent deal, or nothing.
Newly appointed Toffee’s boss Roberto Martinez wants to strengthen his squad but with growing speculation surrounding Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines’ future, it may be difficult to attract star players – as selling your best players shows a lack of ambition.
The 23 year-old only managed eight league starts for the Serie A champions last campaign, but he had a successful time with Italy’s youth squads this summer. Luca has his heart set on making it into the Italy World Cup squad next summer, so first team football would be very important to him – making a move to Everton appear more reasonable.
So far Martinez has brought in four players – three former Wigan players permanently and a Barcelona wonder-kid on loan – which has sparked a few questions on Merseyside as Blues fans question the clubs ambition for the coming season.
A defensive midfielder to work with Fellaini in the midfield could be what settles Toffee’s fans, so hopefully if Luca arrives in England it will settle the nerves upon Merseyside following Martinez’s recent appointment – as David Moyes left to take the vacancy at Manchester United.

More than reasonable
Young, quite talented and can fill in at CB.

I agree. I would have accepted a discount on his price in a player exchange deal for someone like Jovetic. But, in a straight cash transfer, he is easily worth that price considering his age and talent level.
