Why? Thauvin signed for them in january but this summer, as his profile kept rising due to his good season, the WC u21, he saw Marseille getting interested in him and he decided he didnt want to go Lille anymore. He justified it as Lille deceiving him, since they promised him a project led by Garcia, who is now gone to Roma.

It's absolutely ridiculous, he hadnt even played a single minute with Lille but he wanted to be sold already to Marseille. Lille said he was going nowhere, and they have been fighting about it for weeks now. His entourage completely messed up his mind.

That's why you hear that Lille wont sell him to marseille but would do it to a team outside of France. He is a dummy as far as im concerned, this shit will catch up to him down the line one way or another and i have stopped expecting anything from that kid.

I looked up the L'Equipe's website and could not find this story. I found a story about Sakho wanting to leave, but nothing about Milan and nothing about the €10 million asking price. Is this a case of Goal.com hyping this story up or have I missed an article?

Only reason Thauvin decided to go to Lille was Garcia and he said so at the time... he had offers from Milan and Arsenal. He said at the time that he was impressed with how Garcia developed youth and the system he used.

So yeah, the coach leaving is a big reason and a valid reason imo... not to mention Lille have also dropped several good players because they don't have money.

Lille won't play hardball too much. They can't afford to not take the money and need a motivated player. Their team is not that good this year and thin on talent.

Arsenal were interested in Thauvin but I'm not sure if there's interest anymore.

Wenger believes we don't need more creative players in attack... that what he said yesterday. I don't agree with him but I don't believe Wenger is looking for those kind of players. We have other problems atm.

The big things of pre season have been winning the ball back quickly and keeping the ball better.

Our problem from what i have seen is we struggle to create clear cut chances.

But considering we have lacked forwards so far..... Cisse hardly played, Remy hasn't and Ben Arfa, Cabaye and Marveaux has been used sparingly that isn't that surprising.
